Chapter 16: The Truth

I fell asleep. I mean like actually fell asleep. I had laidd my head down on the table and fell asleep.

I don't get why Miles didn't wake me up.

Ward was the one to.

"Get up, Skye!" He had hissed. "Coulson is in trouble!"

I stand up quickly and he takes my cuffs off.

We're all gathered around the holo table table, (I learned the official term), while I look at the floorplan.

"The entire facility's been locked down." Simmons says squeezing her hands together, obviously very distraught.

"Are you sure..." I hear Fitz mumble. "About this?"

This? As in the plan in general, or the plan of me helping?

I shake the thought away.

Not the time. Phil and May are in danger. They went after the Chan dude, who is highly dangerous, and they are trapped!!! Now figure it out Skye!!

"This is pretty cool." Miles says quietly leaning forward.

I don't know what to think of the asshole. 

"Ok. The alarms disconnected the system from all exterior servers." I tell the team.

"Can you fix it or not?" Ward snaps impatiently.

I swallow hard.

"Yes, but you've got to get me on-site."

I know their reaction before they do.

"No way." Ward says sternly.

"Not a chance." Miles says at the same time. "You're a hacker, Skye, not Seal team 6."

I smile a little bit.

"No. But he is. You can take me. I will follow your lead." I jerk a thumb at Ward.

Ward hesitates then nods.

"Fine. Let's go."

Ward managed to get me into the building, to a computer room.

I start to backup a few of the files while hacking into the server stream, and giving Fitz and Simmons control, so they could fulfill the rest of the plan... Whatever it is.

Ward won't give me the big picture. He's giving me step by step orders.

"How long this gonna take?" Ward asks pacing, holding his gun to his side.

Unfortunately, we ran into a few guards that sent 'Get the Job Done Ward' hurtling into 'Just Plain Pissy Ward'.

"Done." I say pulling a hard drive out. "But Miles... He-this is real complicated. He needs to do it."

Ward hesitates and nods.

"Uncuff Miles. He needs to do this." He says into his comm.

I assume Miles has this under control.

Cuz I can't do anything.

Ward and I are full out sprinting.

Cuz if we don't get out that fire guy is gonna explode and kill us.

Finally, Ward had revealed the last minute plan. I don't like it... But Chan didn't really give us any options.
