(His point of view)

As we make our way in the direction of the northern tower, Link turns to me.

"How is she, Brother?" His voice is thick with the deepest concern.

"She is better, but she is still very weak," I say in a quiet tone. "The smallest of activities tire her rapidly. She has a good ways to go before she is completely recovered." He nods in acknowledgment of my words.

In what seems like no time at all, we reach the top of the spiraling stairs and begin making our way down the long hallway.

"Are you sure that she is alright to have visitors?" Kendha asks, cradling the baby in her arms.

"Yes. She was insistent upon seeing you three before going back to sleep," I respond, coming to a stop just at the foot of her doors.

"I am so happy that she has finally awakened. We feared night and day that..." her voice breaks off in a whimper.

"I know, Kendha. So did I," I reply. "But you know her well. She is stronger in ways that we could never imagine, and she is far too stubborn to let anything keep her down for long." They both chuckle at my last statement.

"She will be alright," I offer in confident reassurance. "She just needs time is all." I reach for the door handles, but Link's voice causes me to pause before turning them.

"You look completely exhausted, Loki." I turn to find him eyeing me with a fretful expression. I cannot help but lightly chuckle to myself as I respond.

"I will be fine. I am just glad that she is finally awake and on the mend. I will rest when she does." He offers me his own brotherly smile, nodding at my words. I return his gesture, then turn to open the doors and go in ahead of them. I am pleased to find that she has kept her promise, as she is lying in the same position I had left her. She has her head leaned back against her headboard, looking over in the the direction of the balcony doors. She has a cup of tea resting delicately upon her lap. Upon hearing us enter, she turns and looks at me. The smile that comes to her face is full of love, but oh so fatigued.

"There are some people that wish to see you, my Love," I announce. Her eyes shine as she quickly places her cup over onto the surface of her nightstand and feebly pulls herself up into a better sitting position. I briefly notice that she has pulled her hair back into a loose braid. Its long twist trails down over her left shoulder.

I hear footsteps rapidly moving as Link and Kendha move in behind me. Christine gasps as her eyes find them, but her smile almost combusts as she notices the small bundle that is securely wrapped within Kendha's arms. They move to her bedside in a swift motion. Link falls to his knees, letting his head collapse down upon Christine's legs. She places a hand over the back of his head as he buries his face into the sheets covering her body. Kendha is on her other side, sitting on the edge of the bed. She reaches out and grabs Christine's other hand whilst using her other arm to keep hold of her child. For a time, there is no sound except for the ones of hushed whimpers and sobs as the three of them shed tears of thankful joy. I watch, mesmerized once again, by the love that is surrounding us.

"Christine," Kendha finally whispers, leaning in to kiss my Love's cheek.

"We cannot thank you enough for what you have done." She reaches up and touches Christine's face, smiling through her falling tears.

"How will we ever repay you, my darling sister?" Christine shakes her head.

"You shall never have to, Kendha. I would do it all over again a thousand times. I could not let you lose your little angel, nor could I lose my sister." Link has yet to raise his head up from her lap, as he is now clinging to the sheets in fistfuls. His crying is quiet, but I can see the movement of his shoulders as they tremble with each sob. I move in closer and place a reassuring hand on his shoulder, attempting to offer him some sort of comfort. I never would have done this with Thor......at least....not in the old days. But now.....I dare to think that if it were he in this situation, I might?
