He was laying on the green grass, his blue eyes blinking rapidly. I ran towards him but I was so far away. "I have to make it." I thought to myself, willing my feet to run faster. I was running as fast as I could, as his eyes kept blinking and with each blink they turned redder and redder. But they blinked faster than I ran and no matter how quick I was, I wasn't moving forward. He raised his hand toward the sky, his lips curling. He was speaking. What was he saying? "What are you saying?" I reached for him... But I wasn't going to make it in time.
"LIV! LIV! OLIVIA!" I heard a voice call for me.
I opened my eyes feeling like someone had just pulled me from underwater. My ears were ringing and my throat felt strained. I realized that I was screaming. And someone else was screaming my name. I looked to my side and as my eyes started to focus I saw Neymar, his face as worried as I've ever seen it. Rafaella and Alex were standing by the door, both looking uncomfortable.
"Olivia, answer me." Neymar said again.
"I'm fine." I managed to say but my voice sounded like a croak.
"Rafaella can you bring a glass of water? And a thermometer please?" Neymar said and I felt his hand on my forehead. I realized that I was drenched in sweat but felt cold. "Livvie what happened?" He said, his voice concerned.
"Fever dream." I said, my voice still barely audible. I couldn't shake the image of the blue eyes blinking rapidly.
Rafaella came back with the water and it wasn't until I drank that I realized how thirsty I was. "I'll get another one." Rafaella said. "Alex come help me start breakfast."
"It's 5 in the morning." Alex complained.
"I don't think anyone's going back to sleep love." She told him and they both left the room. She was right, I thought. I wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon.
"Baby, tell me what this was about?" Neymar asked again. "You scared me."
"Was I yelling?" I asked even though I knew I had been.
He nodded.
"What was I saying?"
"You... you were begging." He whispered. "What did you see?"
"I don't remember." I lied. "It's hazy, it's slipping from my memory already."
He let out a deep breath of relief. He believed me. "You scared the shit out of me." He then said. "You raised your hand towards the ceiling, like you were reaching for something... I couldn't wake you up."
"I have nightmares of being trapped sometimes. Maybe that was what this was." I suggested.
He shook his head, unsure.
"Sorry for waking everyone up."
"It's alright." He said, planting a kiss on my shoulder. "Do you maybe want to go back to sleep?"
"No. That's enough sleeping for me today." I said.
"Despite what happened this morning, last night was one of the best nights for me." Neymar said, smiling.
I tried to smile back as best I could. "For me too." I told him.
"Alright, since we're up already, let's go get breakfast."
"I'll be right there in a minute. I wanna take a shower first." I said, heading for the bathroom. When I heard the door close I took out my phone, calling Michael's voicemail. "Hey big bro. Um, could you call me when you get this? It's not a big deal, but I'd like to talk to you, okay? Okay, um, bye."
I was about to step into the shower when my phone started vibrating. "Michael?" I asked. "You're awake?"
"Never went to bed." Michael said and from the background noise I realized he was outside. "Are you okay?"
