Nobody Love

I spend 4 and a half hours getting ready and I'm pretty confident in how I look because I want to make the best first impressions on his friends as possible. My dress was so tight I could barely breathe. I mean my waist can fit into a size 8 but it was just Everything Else. I run down the stairs to pick up a drink and run into my mum who looks me over a couple times and finally says; 'Oh you look nice today honey.'

'Thanks mum.' I somewhat awkwardly reply.

'Going somewhere?' She enquires.

'Just Nando's with a couple friends', that wasn't a lie technically since I had also invited Beth and Sabrina.

'Ames' got a boyfriend.' Matt teases.

'Piss off, asshole' I snap.

'Language! But anyway, have fun and be back by 11. Is someone coming to pick you up?' mum says.

'Yes, and no, I'm not going to invite him in because you guys are WAY too embarrassing'

'Ah, so it's a 'him'?' Matt grins.

I just wanted this probing conversation to be over so I grab a bottle of water from the fridge and run back into my room. As I'm putting on my heels, I hear tapping noises at my window.

Oh god! Has he climbed up again?

I open my curtains to see that sure enough, it was Ethan, but he was throwing rocks at my window.

'How romantic', I giggle, 'stay right there I'll be down in a second.'

I glance in the mirror to make sure I looked okay and darted for the door as fast as my heels would take me.

I swing the door open to see Ethan leaning on his car in the sexiest way ever. He was wearing a denim jacket and ripped jeans with a white shirt that had a black tie printed on it; I looked down at myself and felt a little overdressed for the occasion. It was only dinner with his friends after all. What do I do? Well, it's too late to go back now, he's already seen me.

'Damn baby' he LICKS HIS LIPS as he looks me over a couple times, 'you look hot.' He grabs my hand and pulls me towards the car and I slide into the passenger's side of his car while trying not to blush and hope that my dress doesn't ride up as I sit down.

'You ready?' he asks as he puts his key in the ignition.

'Leggo' I say. Now that I've said it out loud, it does sound kind of lame in comparison to all the perfect sentences he's formed.

Oh well, I try to ignore it by thinking of ways not to perspire and also acting nonchalantly...it was not going that great so far. But it was only Ethan, who cared? I felt so confident whenever I was around him.

We pull up at Nando's. I am like, seriously obsessed with Nando's because at my old house, there was one up the road and we used to go there every week. Nando's is legit bae.

We walk in side by side, his hand clutched in mine. As we approached the table I saw all his friends from college and saw them talking to Beth and Sabrina. Brandon Gilbert had his arm around Beth. Whoa, things must have been moving fast between them since That Night. Unless they knew each other from before? It was none of my business anyway.

Ethan sits down on a chair next to Brandon and Beth and drags me onto his lap.

They all greet me and I reply, with a genuine smile. I feel like I have made a great impression so far. By the time I got round to Beth and Sabrina, we lock eyes and Beth wiggles her eyebrows. I knew she would have a thing or two to say about the fact that I was sitting in Ethan's lap. I raise my eyebrows back at her, indicating that I was impressed by the fact that Brandon had put his arm around her. Ethan puts his hand on my thigh, distracting my from the silent conversations I was having with Beth and Sabrina.
