The
Princess' Freedom
Chapter 7
It wasn't easy for Ashton that night. Liberty didn't want to sleep, Lucas wouldn't stop asking questions after he woke up, and Ashton didn't want to close his eyes incase they came to take Liberty away. It just wasn't that great of a night.
Of course, the morning was a little different.
"Ashton..." His friend, Lucas, said. He was shaking Ashton slightly to wake him up. "Hey, someone's here to see you."
Ashton unwrapped his arms from around Liberty's waist, where they had been holding onto most of the night. As he rose he saw someone very unexpected, the Queen.
"Oh, your Majsety. How may I help you?" He asked. Queen Eliza smiled at him.
"Well, I came to cheek up on my daughter. I know she wasn't very happy last night. Hopefully, everything can be straightened out soon." She said. Ashton nodded.
"I hope so too." He said. "It wasn't fun watching her last night."
"I would imagine not. She was very upset before she left. I ended up screaming at Eliot most of the night saying if he even dared get rid of our daughter he better well be prepaired to lose his kingdom as well. It is after all My kingdom he is controlling." she said.
"That's right. The previous King and Queen only had a daugter." Ashton said. "She had married a man from a middle class family."
"Yes, that's right. I'm not so sure why he isn't such a big fan of Liberty now. When she was younger she was his everything." Her mother said. Liberty stirred at this point.

"Mother?" Liberty asked when she had risen. "What are you doing here?"
"Checking up on you. I needed to make sure you were alright. What he is doing isn't right." She told her daughter. Liberty smiled a sleepy smiled at her.
"I'm alright. I'll be better later." She said, laying back down. She popped back up soon after, though. "But, what about work? Father will kill me if I don't start."
"Your father won't say a thing. If he does he'll have a very angry wife on his hands." Her mother said. Ashton put his arm around Liberty's waist.
"I would've woken you up if there was even a chance he could do anything. You'll be staying with me all day today." Ashton told her. Liberty looked up and smiled at him.
"Promise me nothing will happen." She said.
"I promise, Liberty, nothing will happen to you." Ashton replied. Lucas smiled at his friend.
"You'll have Ashton and me on your side. Nothings going to happen." Lucas said. Liberty smiled.
"Thank you both, so very much." she said, laying her head down on the pillow again. She yawned.
"Go to sleep, Liberty. I'll wake you later." Ashton told her. Liberty smiled a sleepy smile.
"You go back to sleep like Ashton said. I'll be back later to see you." Queen Eliza told her daughter.
"Alright. I love you Mom." liberty said. Her mother smiled.
"I love you too, darling. Now, rest. Everything will be just fine." She said as shed walked out of the room.
Liberty fell asleep with a small, sleepy smile on her face.
