Chapter 21

Ashton smiled at the girl sitting next to him. She wasn't Liberty, but she helped destract him from her. He never forgot her though.

"So, why did you show up here all alone. Someone like you shouldn't have been all alone." She said. Ashton just gave her a smirk.

"Maybe I was looking for someone to spend some time with." He said. The girl smiled at him.

"Well, I;m glad that I'm that someone." She said. He smiled, but his mind went back to Liberty. What was she doing? Was she asleep by now? It was almost midnight.

"You know," He said. "I need someone to distract me tonight. Is that going to be you?"

Ashton knew what he needed. He needed to be distracted. This girl just may be able to destract him.

Liberty wasn't prepared for what she saw later that night. Ashton hadn't brought a girl home before, so she didn't even think that one would be in there.

"Lucas, learn to knock." Ashton said. Liberty just stilled. The girl's top was off, as was Ashton. When she walked in it had looked like he was trying to take something else off too.

Ashton turned to face her. His face was pure shook when he saw who it was.

"Liberty." he said, setting up and moving away from the shirtless girl. When he found her shirt on the floor he threw it to her. He turned back to the other girl, which gave Liberty the chance to escape. She just barley heard him tell the girl to get her stuff and leave.

Liberty just ran to her room, locking the door after she slamed it shut. She didn't know what to do. All she knew was that she wanted to be gone. She wanted to leave.

So, of course, she did the first thing she thought of. She opened the window and left. She knew who she wanted to talk to right now. She wanted to see Ellie. Ellie had left about an hour ago to go home. Lucas stayed with Liberty, saying he may go over to her house after Ashton got back. She was glad he stayed with her. She could talk to Ellie without anyone else. That was exactly what she needed.

Of course she didn't expect to be taken away as soon as she got out of the house.

"Lucas, Liberty left!" He heard Ashton exclaim. Lucas shot up from the couch he had fallen to sleep on. He had just missed the girl leaving, so he had no clue what happened. He didn't even know where his best-friend went that night.

"Why would she do that?" He asked. "I know for a fact she was almost asleep when Ellie left earlier."

"She caught me with a girl in my room." he said, shame crossing his face. Lucas sighed.

"How did you not know she liked you? She showed it. It was so easy to see. Why would you do that? Why hurt her?" He asked him. He was angry with his friend, his brother. Liberty was such an easy girl to read. He was almost positive Ashton knew what she felt. He just so happened to be wrong.

"I did it to take my mind off of her. I wasn't going to go after her. She needs to be with someone else." He said. Lucas sighed.

"She likes you, Ashton. She trusts you more than anyone. She doesn't desrve someone else. She wants you. At least she did." He said. Ashton sighed.

"I screwed up, Lucas. I know that. No matter what happened she never got my mind off Liberty. She was always there. I wanted it to be her. I didn't want some random girl. I wanted Liberty. I just had to screw it up." He said. That was when Lucas knew he loved her. Ashton had tears in his eyes. Ashton never cried. Never. Now that there was a good chance he couldn't be with the girl he loved, it broke him.

"We'll find her. She probably went to Ellie's. She'll be fine." He said. Ashton shook his head.

"I think something's happened. I can feel it. She's in trouble." Ashton said. Lucas shook his head.

"We'll go and look for her. I promise, we'll find her." Lucas said.

"I hope so. I screwed up. I need to try to get her back. I need to make it up to her." He said. Lucas nodded.

"I'm here for you, remember that. We'll get her back, and I'm sure you two will get a chance at being together."

Auther's note.

I am not very good at writing scenes like the beging, but I needed it in there. I had him getting caught with another girl from the very begining. Sorry about how bad it is. Hopefully I'll get better at those and fix it later on.
