The
Princess' Freedom
Chapter 14
"Liberty, wake up." Ashton said. Liberty yawned, raising her head off of Ashton's shoulder.
"Where are we?" She asked sleepily. He smiled.
"Your new home." He said. She looked out of the car window. Sure enough, they were sitting outside of a house.
"This is it?" She asked, a smile on her face. He nodded. Ashton got out, holding the door open for her. She smiled at him. "Thank you."
"Your welcome." He said. He took her hand, leading her to the house. "Oh, I'm just going to warn you, my Mom's here. She'll be..."
"Very excited." Lucas said, coming outside and grabbing some bags she didn't know she had.
"Is that a bad thing?" She asked. Ashton shrugged.
"Sometimes." He said. She nodded.
"Alright..." She said. He smiled.
"She'll love you though. I'm sure of that." He said. Liberty smiled.
"I hope so." She said, holding on tighter to Ashton's hand as they opened the front door to the house.
"Ashton! My baby boy!" His mother exclaimed, running over to grab him up in a hug. He hugged her back, then looked over her shoulder.
"Mom, I thought you said it would only be you here? He asked. His mother smiled sheepishly.
"Oh, but they all wanted to come and see you." she said. Ashton just sighed, but then turned to the others with a smile.
"I'm glad I'm home." He said, his smile growing wider as a little girl came up and hugged his leg. Ashton bent down.
"Are you back for good, Uncle Ash?" The little girl asked. He shook his head.
"No, I'll have to go back sooner or later, but there is a very good chance that I'll be here for quite a while." He said. "I still love you though, Michelle."
"Michelle, why don't you go play in Uncle Ash's room with Tristan." A woman said, bending down slightly to talk to the little girl. Michelle nodded.
"Alright." she said, skipping off. Once everyone heard the door shut and Lucas walked back inside, they all turned to us.
"What's going on, Ash?" The younger woman asked. Ashton looked over at Lucas, who nodded, then over at Liberty.
"Do you want them to know?" He asked.
"I don't really care. It all depends on if you want to." She said. "I know you trust them. If you do, I do."
"Alright." He said, taking Liberty's hand again.
"Guys, I would like you to meet Princess Liberty." he said. "Her Mother asked us if we would bring her here and hide her for a little bit."
"This is the teenage princess that everyone believes was kidnapped three days ago?" His mother asked. Ashton nodded.
"Yes, Mom. There where some things going on in the palace, and Queen Eliza thought it would be safer if Liberty wasn't there. King Elliot would agree, and she knew that, so she decided we would make it look like she was kidnapped." He told them. The younger woman who had asked Michelle to go play smiled at Ashton and Liberty.
"Well, welcome to our little village, Liberty." She said. "I'm Ariane, Ashton's sister."
"The little girl you saw was Michelle, her daughter. And the boy that is in my room is her son, Tristan." Ashton said. Liberty nodded.
"It's nice to meet you." She said. The group smiled.
"I hope you like it, Liberty." His Mother said. "And just call me Gina."
"I'm George, Ashton's father." the older man said. She smiled.
"My name's Nick, I'm the doufus' brother." Said a young man. She smiled at the group.
"It's nice to meet you all." She said. They smiled.
"Ashton, keep her safe." His father said. Ashton nodded.
"Always will."
