Princess' Freedom

Chapter 12

"Liberty's heading out to the garden with Queen Eliza. That's our cue." Lucas told me. I nodded.

"Alright." i said. We started to the doors of the garden. Liberty was talking to her Mother when we entered.

"Did you ask them to take me away from this place?" She asked. Queen Eliza sighed.

"Yes, I did. I thought you would be upset but I wanted you to be safe. Prince Arioan and his family are not. They come from a long line of abusive men. I didn't want my daughter to have to deal with that." She told her daughter. Liberty sighed then.

"This was exactly why I was mad at Ashton. He made tried to make descions that were not his to make. My life has been controlled enough by that man I call Father. I don't want it to be controlled by anyone else." She said. Ashton looked over at Lucas. So that was why she had been upset.

"I know, but this is the last time I controll your life. You'll be taken to Ashton's village, about three days from here. There you can start to controll your own life. I wish you luck, my daughter. For now, it is my time to leave. I hope I can see you be crowned Queen soon." She said. Liberty smiled at her Mother.

"I'll miss you... Mom." Liberty said, hugging her Mother tight. Queen Eliza smiled sadly, hugging her daughter tightly.

"I hope you get to come back to the palace soon, darling. I'll miss you."

"I'll always love you Mom." She told her mother. They parted, Liberty grabbing Ashton's hand tight.

"We'll bring her back when we get the signal that means it'll be safe, we promise." Ashton told Queen Eliza. Eliza smiled at the guard.

"Keep my daughter safe. I mean that." She said. Ashton nodded.

"She'll be safe." He said. Lucas tapped his friend's shoulder.

"We need to get going. We have to be on the rode soon." Lucas said to Ashton. He nodded.

"Are you ready?" He asked Liberty. She nodded, a bright smile on her face.

"I'm ready." She said.
