Chapter 13

"Guards!" Queen Eliza screamed, faking her distrought and fear. There was no fakig her sadness, though. "Guards!"

"What is is, Your Highness?" they asked as they rushed into the garden.

"Some men were in here. They took my daughter, Princess Liberty." She said. King Elliot rushed into the garden.

"What is the matter?" He asked, looking around the room for Liberty. It was a pity she wasn't there.

"Some men took Liberty away!" Queen Eliza exclaimed, the tears at the possibilty of never seeing her daughter again flowed down her face.

"She'll be found. There is no way they can be that far." he said. Queen Eliza just shook her head. There was a great possiblity they would be farther than expected. She had waited for a good while after they left to call out to the guards.

"I'm not sure if she'll even be alive if you find her. They didn't look like good people." She told her husband. He just sighed.

"She'll be found, and she'll be found alive."

"Ashton, why are we going to your village? Can't we just go to one that isn't even in this kingdom?" Liberty asked her guard. He shook his head.

"Sure, we could, but there was no way to tell if you would be safe there. If we go to my village, I know you will be." He said. She nodded.

"Alright. Where will I be staying?" she asked. He smiled.

"With me and Lucas. Right before we got excepted for special training we rented a place we could both stay in. There also happened to be a third room, so that's where you'll sleep." he explained.

"Okay." She said. "How long will I be there?"

"That one we aren't very sure about. Queen Eliza was the rightful heir to the throne, not your father, so she's trying to find a way to make the heir, weither it's a boy or girl, the ultimate power. When she gains complete controll it'll be safe enough for you to return."

"So I could be there for years?"

"Yes, if she can't find a quick way for that to happen, then you'll have to. Of course, she did say you would be in complete control of the life you would have there. She even told me if you are there for very long you could marry if you wish." he said. She looked over at him.

"Really?" She asked. He nodded.

"Yes, Liberty." You will be in control of the new life. You can go to school, collage, get married. It's all up to you."

"That'll be different. I'm not used to being able to make descions." She said. He smiled.

"You'll get used to it, Liberty. It's your life, it's in your control."

"Why has she not been found?" King Elliot demanded almost three days later.

"There are no tracks, sir. We've tried our hardest but we cannot find her anywhere." the head guard said. King Elliot slammed his fist against the table.

"she cannot just disappear! She is a stupid little girl that cannot do anything right!" He exclaimed. Queen Eliza gasped and stood.

"Our daughter is not a stupid little girl! You are the one that is stupid. It is your fault our daughter is missing! How dare you say anything against her. If you hadn't made that stupid agreement we wouldn't have been in that dreaded palace that night!" She exclaimed. He just shook his head.

"I am the King and your husband. It will serve you well to remember that!" He growled at her.

"And I was the rightful heir to the throne. I can find a way to gain power over you. You know that too. One wrong move and you are gone, Elliot. You are not my husband anymore. That man is gone, long gone."

"So, how much farther do we have?" Liberty asked Lucas. He smiled at her.

"Not much, actually. Just about an hour or so left." He said. Liberty smiled.

"As much fun as this was, I'm ready to get off the road and into a real bed." She said. Ashton laughed.

"I agree. I'm ready for a bed." He said.

"Ashton..." She said timidly. He looked over at her.

"Yes, Liberty?"

"I'm sorry that I got mad at you." She said. "I understand that you were just trying to help."

"No, I'm sorry. I should've asked you what you thought. Don't worry about it, alright?"

"Alright."

"Finally. I thought you two would never talk about that. I figured you two would just avoid it from now on." Lucas said. Ashton laughed.

"You would have brought it up if one of us didn't, Lucas, and you know it." He said. Liberty smiled.

"Okay you two. Lucas, eyes in front. I don't want us to crash when we are almost there." She told them both. They both smiled.

"Okay." Lucas said. Ashton laughed, putting his arm around Liberty and pulling her closer to him.

"Almost home." He said. Liberty smiled.

"Almost home."
