Chapter 15

"Lucas, Ashton!" A young girl, about Liberty's age, squealed, running up towards them.

"Hey," Ashton said, liffting her up in his arms. Liberty just sat on the couch, not sure what to do.

"Hey," Lucas said, repeating Ashton's actions.

"Ellie, this is Liberty." Ashton said, walking over to her. When he reached her he held his hand out for her to take. Liberty took it, using it to help her stand.

"I'm Ellie. It's very nice to meet you." The girl told Liberty, hugging her quickly.

"It's nice to meet you too." Liberty replied. Ashton just shook his head, a smile on his face.

"Still not very good with other people, are you?" He asked Liberty. Liberty shook her head.

"Not really." She said. Ellie just laughed.

"Don't worry about it. I wasn't good with people before either. With those two, you'll get used to it. I'm sure of that." She said. Liberty just smiled.

"Okay, since you have really nothing to say, why don't we all go and do something?" Lucas asked, noticing how uncomfortable Liberty was.

"Sure." Ellie said. Ashton nodded. Lucas looked over at Liberty.

"Sound good?" He asked her.

"Um... okay." She replied quietly.

"Okay," Ellie said later on that evening. "I have a date. I'll have to come see you three tomorrow or something."

"Sure, we'd love to see you sometime, Ellie." Lucas said. Ashton nodded.

"Yeah, come by any time." He said. Lucas looked over at Ellie, who easily noticed the way Ashton and Liberty acted like towards eachother.

"Oh, Lucas, Miley said to stop by when you guys got back, remember. I'm sure she's love to hear from you again. Why don't you go stop by?" Ellie asked, the same plan formming in both of their heads.

"Sound like an awesome idea. I'll do that." He said. He then looked over at Ashton and Liberty. Ashton had the look on his face that just said I know what you are up to. "Why don't you two go eat or something. I'll probably be home pretty late, so no need to wait up.

It was very easy for Ashton to notice exactly what those two were doing. He knew Ellie had noticed his behavior earlier in the day. Besides that, Ellie was known for playing cupid.

He just went along with it, secretly thankful.

"You know what, that sounds like a good idea. What do you think Liberty?" He asked her. She smiled slightly. He could tell she was glad to get away from Ellie. It didn't matter if she was nice or not, Ashton j=knew it was jyst because she wasn't all that good around people.

"Sure, I'd like that." She said.

Liberty, meanwhile, knew nothing about what Lucas and Ellie were up to. She was just happy to get away from Ellie. Sure, she was nice and all, but Liberty just didn't know how to act around people besides for Ashton and Lucas, really.

"Sure," She said. "I'd like that."
