I walked back into Dominic's chambers and saw Evander laugh and mess up Dominic's hair.
Dominic's hair looked so cute, sticking up at awkward angles.
I wonder if his hair was soft, it looked like it would be.
Now a cowlick had popped up and Dominic didn't seem to notice.
I stood beside the door that lead to my chambers as they talked.
Why did Dominic do that?
It was just strange, not really a punishment.
And punishment for what?
Lying to someone you don't know?
I should be burned at the stake if that's a sin.
Evander walked out of the room, his boots making a jingle sound.
"Well I have to go eat now, but you're still in trouble."
"For what?" Dominic looked more like a kid with the cowlick on top of his head.
"For lying."
"I lied to a stranger." I crossed my arms.
I hated the outfit I was forced to wear.
It was the outfit of a butler, made white and silver fabrics. It was itchy.
Dominic made a pouty face that looked more like a kid and walked to sit on the far end of his bed.
His shoes didn't jingle.
And what was with that face he made? Did I hurt his feelings?
Now curious if he was alright I sat beside him on his pure white bed.
"Why is everything in this kingdom white? I understand you call this place the Kingdom of Light, but why make everything so bright?"
Dominic shrugged in answer.
"What? Now you're not answering me?"
Not even a shrug this time.
Great.
