Chapter 26

"I'm Haley. You must be the new servant."
"Uh yes I'm Florence."
Haley smiled and Bradford said "Well goodbye then. I have better things to do than stand around with servants." And he walked out.
His boots didn't jingle.
"You must be hungry, follow me please." I nodded and followed Haley out the door and down the hall.
She was shorter than me which was rare since everyone in this kingdom seemed to be a giant.
She was dressed in a normal silver and white maid outfit and had her hair tied back.
"So why are you staying in the prince's chambers?"
"Oh I'm staying in the room next to him."
"Wait you're staying in his room that is meant for his fiancée?" Haley gasped.
I nodded in confusion.
Haley stopped at a white door and unlocked it with a key.
We went down white circular stairs. This must be the servant's eating courtiers.
Everything here was white and it was starting to hurt my eyes.
"Well I'm not planning on marrying him." Did I sound to cruel saying that?
"You can't plan love, trust me I know."
Well I refuse to love him.
Even if he took my breath away.
The stairs ended and we stepped into a room that didn't look as amazing as the rest of the castle.
Gray concrete walls and a dirt floor.
A long wooden table was arranged in the middle and benches where at the sides.
"What do you mean?"
Haley shrugged in answer then changed the subject.
"Just take a seat for now, most servants are serving so we are going to eat before they do."
"Alright."
I wonder why Bradford wasn't eating.
