"Harry?!"

Just saying his name felt like poison on my tongue. I cant believe I fell into his stupid trap. I should have known he would have given me his number and not Niall's.

"I know what you're thinking Em, but please don't leave," Harry pleaded.

"You just lied to me by pretending to be Niall, do you really think I'm going to stay here?" I said while folding my laptop and stuffing it in my bag. I was beyond mad at him. I got up and swiftly headed towards the exit.

"Emma! Please!" Harry shouted. Hot on my heels, he grabbed me by my wrist and spun me around. His face and tone softened, "please just talk to me."

"Why?!" I was confused and too tired to deal with him, "We have nothing to talk about."

"I want to know about Tyler," Harry said quietly.

My gaze fell immediately to the floor. I felt sick to my stomach and was about ready to puke that blueberry muffin on Harry. Actually, that didn't sound like such a bad idea.

"H-how do you...who told you?"

"Em, let's sit please?" Harry begged.

"I-I think I need water, my throat suddenly feels really dry," I turned to walk over to the counter, but Harry stopped me again, "I'll get you water. I need to order coffee anyways. Just take a seat."

I nodded and headed back over to my previous seat. I sank down into the cushion and tilted my head back against the booth. Maybe this was all a bad dream?

"Here's your water," Harry said as he placed a cup in front of me.

I took a big sip, "thanks."

He sat down across from me and took a sip of his coffee as well. He then leaned forward resting his arms on the table, "are you alright?," he asked curiously.

My eyebrows knitted together and I looked at Harry with confusion, "why? Do I look tired or something?"

"You look like you haven't slept well."

I nodded my head, "I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Why not?" He questioned.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Bad dream I guess?"

I took another sip of my water, "Are you going to tell me how you know about Tyler?" I asked impatiently.

Harry cleared his throat, "Last night I asked Amber if she knew why you didn't like me and she said that you were probably just upset over your break up with Tyler," Harry said, "and she might have told me that he cheated on you with someone from work."

I wish Amber had at least some respect for my privacy. I didn't know what to say back so I just looked down at my hands resting on my lap.

"I'm sorry," Harry apologized "I'm being rude for bringing it up. It just got me thinking...I don't know how someone could do that."

"No, it's fine. Is that all?" I asked him hoping he'd agree to stop talking about Tyler.

"I want to know what he did exactly that made you find out." Harry trailed off. I brought my eyes up to meet his, I stared into his green orbs, thinking about whether I should tell him everything or not. He stared back with concern. He already knew most of it so I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell him more.

I took a deep breath, "He stopped treating me the way he used to when we first met. He would get angry over nothing and turn violent. One day he came home and went ape shit talking about how I'm a complete waste to him and that I held him back from finding the perfect girl," I paused for a second trying to hold back tears that slowly started to fill up in my eyes, "After that he ran up to our room and started packing everything he could fit into his suitcase. I cried and screamed for him but he didn't bother turning back. A week later I saw him walking hand in hand with a co-worker that he would talk about often. I didn't think much of it when we were together, but seeing them after he left me put all the pieces together."

I wiped a tear that rolled down my cheek and resting my hands on the table. Harry slid his large hand over and gently took mine in his.

"I'm sorry that you had to go through that. Nobody deserves to be treated that way," Harry sounded sincere, "I'll kick his ass for you and make him feel the way he made you feel, I promise."

I smiled weakly at Harry and giggled lightly. Maybe Harry wasn't so bad, I mean he looked like he really cared about the whole situation.

"Well, thanks for listening to me talk about the jerk. I think I should go now," I said pulling my hand out of his and getting up off the chair.

"So soon?" Harry questioned with a sad look.

"Yeah, um, I'm kind of moving out by the end of this week so I really need to start packing" I told him, "Plus, I think it's best if I leave that place considering it was Tyler's place as well before he left...there are just too many memories in that house," I added.

"I can drive you home, and help," Harry said getting up, "I dont have anything to do today anyways."

I held my hand up, "No, no it's okay. I'm like OCD so its probably best if I do it myself."

"At least let me give you a ride home?" Harry put on his jacket and adjusted the beanie on his head.

I shook my head, "It's really nice out and I want to walk, but thanks."

Harry nodded and gave me a weak smile. I awkwardly waved goodbye and headed out the door into the refreshing autumn weather.
