As soon as my eyes pried open I was expecting to still be at the beach with El, Harry, and Louis, but I guess I must have fallen asleep there, typical huh?
Once things finally became clear and any sleepiness I had died down, I noticed Harry was asleep beside me with his arm resting over my hip.
Slowly, I trailed my fingertips up and down his arm,
"Mm, Emma that tickles," Harry mumbled with a crooked smile, before turning to lay on his back and shutting his eyes once more.
Clearly, he was still tired.
I snuggled up close to him, resting my head against his chest,
"Harry I have to leave today," I said as I began to trace his butterfly tattoo with the tip on my middle finger.
"Don't," Harry replied, prying his eyes open, "stay with me here forever."
I giggled as I looked up at him, "I wish. But you have to continue with the tour and I have a meeting tomorrow with a new client at work."
Harry leaned forward and placed a kiss on my forehead, "I wish I could freeze time. I want to be with you here for a little longer."
"Yeah, I hear you," I exhaled.
Thinking about leaving Harry again was already breaking my heart. I would have to go another 4 weeks before I could see him again.
"Let's go get some breakfast?" Harry said as he rubbed circles on my back. Just as he said that my stomach growled.
"Yeah, good idea," I replied, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Harry chuckled, "you're adorable."
As I was getting up off of Harry he quickly pulled me back in and kissed me softly. Butterflies erupted in my stomach at his tenderness.
I bit my lip gently and looked into his eyes when we broke the kiss. Harry winked at me before getting up off the bed to change.
I did the same, changing into a black tank top and shorts. I grabbed my crossbody and put it on before we headed out the door.
"Maybe we should check and see if El and Louis are up?" I asked pausing by their room before heading into the elevator.
Harry placed his hand on the small of my back and gently pushed me forward to the elevator, "judging from what I heard last night, they probably aren't up yet."
We both laughed and made our way into the elevator.
For breakfast, we went to a small café that had the best coffee and pastries you could find.
"So this new client you're getting at work," Harry began, "is it some big shot?"
"I honestly don't know," I answered, "The only thing Dan told me was that a person from some singer's management was coming to discuss ideas for special effects makeup and stuff," I added.
Harry nodded and we talked more about it and the tour before we finished up eating. We got into his Ferrari and drove back to the hotel where I packed up for the plane ride home.
Harry took my suitcase and carried it down to the car before we both got in and headed towards the airport.
He reached over into my lap and took my hand in his. I intertwined our fingers and gently rubbed over his skin with my thumb.
Every minute that passed by we both were hurting.
We didn't want to say goodbye just yet. Not after everything that happened this weekend. I know I shouldn't complain because I'd be seeing him in a couple of weeks, but still.
When Harry pulled into the airport and parked, he got out and came over by my side opening the door for me.
"Thanks," I muttered as I stood up and faced him.
He cupped my face, caressing my cheeks with his thumb gently.
"This isn't making it any easier, you know," I whispered.
He smiled weakly at me and kissed my forehead, "Em, this isn't going to be easy," Harry whispered, clearly referring to this relationship, "as much as I hate it, I'm going to have to be gone sometimes."
I nodded understanding that this was going to be tough at times, but that didn't mean I was going to give up on it and try to find someone who could be there all the time, "I know, but I want this."
Harry smiled and I stood on my tippy toes to kiss him softly.
"I love you Emma," he whispered against my lips.
I smiled against his, "I love you too Harry, so much."
He dropped his hands to my waist and hugged me. I buried my face against his chest and hugged him back tighter.
"Text me when you land," Harry whispered into my ear.
"I will," I leaned back to look up at him, "and continue kicking ass on tour."
Harry chuckled, "Have fun at work, stay safe, lock the doors, and promise me you will avoid any crazy ex boyfriends because I wont be there to protect you this time."
I laughed, "I promise."
"Bye love," Harry kissed me once more before letting go.
I grabbed my suitcase, "Bye, see you soon," I replied, hugging him for the final time before walking into the airport.
The plane ride back home was pretty chill. Those 5 hours passed by suprisingly quickly considering I was on tumblr, twitter, and wattpad the whole time.
When I landed, I hauled a cab back home. I texted Harry on the way to let him know I was okay,
"I made it back safely! I miss you already. x"
He replied moments later, "I'm glad you're okay babe. I miss you too. Can't wait til we are together again! xx"
The driver pulled into Harry's driveway and I paid him before heading inside.
I unpacked my clothes and shoes up in our bedroom.
It was now 7 pm and I didn't have anything to do, nor was I tired. So, I decided to clean the house a bit in hopes that it would make me sleepy and exhausted.
Half way through mopping the kitchen I yawned, looking at the time. It was now 10 pm and boy was I tired.
I finished mopping up quickly and headed upstairs to sleep. I set my alarm for work at 7 am and knocked out.
