“Need a ride?”

            “Kam?”

The golden haired boy smiled, flirtatiously and leaned against the hood of his car.  Running on of his hands through his perfectly combed curls, he sighed, “Yes, Blu?”

            “Piss off.”

He lost his smile but that didn’t stop him from talking, “What’s wrong with you?  I thought we were getting along fine… but you’re pushing me away now.”

“Kam, I just can’t deal with Shade,” I said.

He looked at me with a confused expression, “Wait, what?  Do I look like Shade to you?  No, we hate one another.  But Blu, I like you.  I need you in my life.”

I grabbed my cell phone and smiled, “Goodbye, Kam.”

I turned away and heard it ring.  I smiled as I heard a click then a, “Hello, it’s Le…” the phone was tugged from my grasp and slammed into the ground, shattering the screen and making the battery fall out and go into a puddle by the road.  My jaw dropped as I looked up to see who did the crime… why am I not surprised? “Kam!  What the hell?!”

“Need a ride?” he asked, a cocky smile spread across his lips.

I clenched my fists and took a small racketing breath, “You know I do because you broke my freaking phone, you asshole!”

He crossed his arms, “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’.  Do you want to get a ride in my very pretty new Porsche?”

I put on a fake smile, “Oh, yes, you idiot, I would love one because you broke any chance I could call a ride!” I screamed at him.

He shrugged me off and walked over to a shiny cherry red Porsche parked at the corner of the lot.  He had a weird… um “swag” in his step as he walked in front of me, a proud look on his face.  You know?  The wide smile, the lifted eyebrows, a far-away look in his eyes.  The look you receive from a donkey who drank vodka – never seen that… well, I just described it!

“You owe me a new phone,” I grumbled, glaring at him with the greatest intensity I could manage.

“And you ignored me for almost a year, we’re even,” he looked at me, “We were friends, weren’t we?  For one short moment, you knew we were the same.  We are both heartbroken and we both share some type of connection-”

“One I did not enjoy,” I added.

“Shut up,” he simply said, annoyed, “You interrupted me, you’re a teenager, you should know manners.”
