Author's Note: All my chapters doubled and so I deleted chapter 2 - there was 2 of them - and then both deleted!  *Sigh* I was 9000 views, hope it didn't lower too much.  Sorry for the delay!

What is with Angel?  I am just saying that I can’t deal with these Evermoore guys, they’re simply crazy.  I wonder what would happen when my child is in school, with Kam’s interest in women she’ll have to deal a whole lot of Evermoore’s.

I scowled at the road as I walked down the street.  Footsteps trailed behind me and I didn’t even bother to look back to know who it was.  His steady breathing came closer and now was just by my ear, “Just wait, Blu…”

I looked at him, “Okay, Angel, what?”

“I just want to help you, why won’t you let me?” he asked me.

“Because what if you turn out to be just like Shade?!” I snapped back.

He stared at me.  It was a long silence and the only sound was of the cars passing by us.  His eyes flashed with different emotions: pain to understanding.  I didn’t understand either of them.

“What if I turn out to be what just you need?” Angel looked down at me; I hated how people towered over me since I was so small compared to others.  Angel being the youngest of the Evermoore’s didn’t change his height.  His eyes gleamed when I shrunk and faced it.  What if he…?

            Why help me?

What type of reward would he get from this anyway?  Why does everyone want to protect me when they truly do is harm?  Anyway, what do I even know about him at all?  He’s an Evermoore.  He’s Shade’s brother.  And Kam isn’t fantastic and Ghost is… okay but I can tell he has his problems.  And don’t get me started about Kit.

            “Bite me.”

I turned and walked down the street.  Angel grasped my arm and looked at me, “Shade does care about you.”

            “He used me.”

“He… is an asshole, what can I say?” Angel sighed, “But he does care.  It’s rare he does stare at anyone like that.”

“I’m going home now,” I said, awkwardly and began to continue walking on.  I heard his footsteps and I twist back to glare at him.  Sadly he was so close, that our heads knocked against one another and we both flinched back.

            “Ow, that hurt.”

“Well, duh,” I muttered.  I looked at him, “Here’s the thing, Angel… I don’t want you following me.”

“That’s a first,” he mumbled, he licked his lips and took a small breath, “Here’s the thing, I want to follow you.”

            “Why?” I asked.

            “Because you intrigue me.”

“Well, get something else that catches your interest!” I snapped.

He glanced down the street and scowled.  I saw his expression change and slowly I looked back.  That’s when I saw Shade glaring at us, just a few feet away.  His eyes glimmered a sharp blue.  He looked at Angel, “Leave her alone if she asks.”

“I just want to…” Angel began.

“Help her?” Shade sighed, “That’s my job.”
