everyone tried talking to her. we even called Flirtacious, putting the phone to her ear but not even that helped.

it'd only been 4 days, and everyone was restless. Julia went home every night and came back at 6 in the morning, Callum slept in a chair, and jon and i shared the window seat. Bonnie was sent home back in perth, where her mother was worried sick. she didnt want to go, but we didnt mind. i didnt have worrying parents, and Jons parents came everyday to check on Kaci and Him, being doctors and all. but i was glad they paid special attention to Kaci. i would too if i was in their shoes.

"is she going to be okay?" Jon whispers, his head resting on the cold window and his eyes closed. Jon and I shared positions of bestest friend with Kaci. even though shes known Jon for a short time, she had a special liking towards him, yet he felt something stronger.

this boy was in love with her. has been since first sight, i realised the day we met him together. his eyes shined as he stared at the blond haired, blue eyed beauty. if i wasnt her best friend and already in love with the bitch, id be all starry eyed and drooling too.

but it was Kaci. she didnt realise those things, she wasnt the lovey dovey type. so jon normally got away with it, on Kaci's side. he wasnt ashamed to tell me he liked her a lot, and when kaci was visiting her parents on her long weekend, he came to our dorm crying and telling me hes fallen head over heals in love with her!

he was cute, he was charming, a gentleman. but kaci just didnt notice it the way everyone else did. once you were given a name, thats the way you stayed. he didnt mind, tho. he was still in her life, just not the way he dreamed he would be.

"i think she will be. its Kaci were talking about here! if she can do her homework, go to a party, get to class on time the next day and get an A+ on her homework sheet, im sure shell be ok and pull through with no brain damage or memory loss." i hope..i smile as jons eyebrows stop scrunching, his face showing relief. he finally fell asleep, leaving me in the cold, plain white room around 12:30-1 oclock at night.

i craved sleep, i truly did, but whenever i closed my eyes, i remembered the crash and the blood all over Kaci and mikes limp arm. i couldnt take it.

i quietly get up and leave the room, closing door and looking through my dirty boob pocket. there was still a few 10 dollar notes in there.

barefeet, messy hair, ugly smudged makeup and smelling like a gassed skunk, i walk up to the receptionist who smiles sadly, knowing which patient im here for.

i lean my castrated arm on the counter. "where can i find a vending machine?"
