"Your place or mine?" Yoongi asked [Name]. They decided to work on the project together after school. They sat in Yoongi's car as he started it up.
"I don't really care."
"Alright. We'll go to my house then." [Name] nodded and sat in silence. He noticed her rubbing her wrists nervously. She'd occasionally brush her hand through her already neatly brushed hair and she looked anywhere but at Yoongi. He wasn't sure if he should ask her about her behaviour or not. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable but he also wasn't sure how to ask. Whatever. I'll do it how I would with anyone else.
"What's wrong?" [Name] looked up at him quickly and laughed nervously.
"Oh sorry. I'm just kind of awkward. You have a really nice car and it reminded me that we're in different social groups."
"What do you mean?"
"You're just one of those more popular people that everyone knows and all. I'm kind of that quiet nerd to others."
"So what?" Yoongi glanced at the girl for a moment before turning his attention back to the girl. She went back to looking down.
"I don't know. People are noticing me more. They actually look at me when I'm by your side and the attention makes me uncomfortable. I'm not really a people person." That definitely surprised Yoongi. [Name] always looked either confident or like she didn't care about everyone else. He thought she didn't care about the attention she received, like he did. Yoongi never really thought about it, but it made sense. Yes, everyone knew who [Name] was, but no one really watched her and payed attention to to her unless she did something extreme. Yoongi was used to the stares because he had been getting them for years already. [Name], on the other hand, wasn't used to so many people watching her at all times. Now that he thought about it, rumors were sure to start up soon. He didn't want [Name] to feel uncomfortable around him, but there wasn't really anything he could do.
"Is there something I can do?"
"No. It's fine. I need to get used to occasional attention."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable around me."
"Aw. Does the cold-hearted Yoongi actually care about me?" [Name] teased. Yoongi shook his head at her antics and drove on. They arrived a few minutes later and walked into the boy's house. [Name] looked around and back to Yoongi.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?" he asked. He never invited anyone to his house before so Yoongi wasn't sure what to do. Even his friends rarely came here, preferring to hang out at Seokjin's or Hoseok's homes.
"I'm fine, thanks. Where should we go to work on the project?"
"My room is pretty messy right now so let's work in the living room. Come on." He grabbed his bag and lead [Name] to the living room. [Name] stared at the grand piano in the room for a few seconds. Yoongi plopped down on a couch and gestured for [Name] to do the same. She quietly put her bag on the floor and sat down. He noted that she was still feeling uncomfortable. He smiled awkwardly and pulled out the notes they had taken in class.
"So... Let's begin?" [Name] nodded and they continued their conversation from class. [Name] began to feel more comfortable as time went on and soon she was as energetic and confident as she was in school. The two students worked on their project for about an hour before deciding that they had done enough for the day and finishing the rest of their homework. Another random conversation started and they completely relaxed.
"Oh, [Name]?" Yoongi asked.
"Yes?"
"I was wondering if you could help my friend," he said, remembering his conversation with Hoseok.
