"Chapter 13"

Yoongi took a deep breath. Today he would do it. He'd confess to [Name]. Hopefully she would return his feelings.

He watched as she sat down in the seat next to him. The classroom was slowly filling up. Now he had to wait until lunch when he could get her alone. They were often the first two on the roof, so he'd do it then.

[Name] greeted him and started telling him about how late she went to sleep and how she needed more sleep. She ranted about the school system and how it should be changed. [Name] liked to rant. She could rant for hours, but she didn't want to torture Yoongi. She also didn't have time, as the class was starting.

It felt like hours. The butterflies wouldn't leave. He couldn't focus on the lesson, thinking only about what he would be doing later that day. It was the only thing on his mind, but he tried not to show it.

Their morning classes finally ended. Yoongi followed [Name] up to the roof, fiddling with his fingers.

"Hey, [Name]," he started. His accent started slipping through, showing his nervousness.

"Hm?"

"Um. I like you," he said, getting straight to the point. She stared at him in surprise.

"Oh, um."

"Sorry if that makes things awkward..." he waited for rejection.

"I'm sorry," Shit. "I can't return your feelings... because I am completely in love with cheese."

Yoongi stared at [Name].

"What?"

"Cheese, it is so beautiful. It's so, cheesy. I love cheesy things. Cheese. Yes, I love cheese."

"Um..." Was I just rejected because of... cheese?

"Yoongi, what am I talking about?"

"I have no idea."

"You like me? I like you too."

"Didn't you just reject me?"

"I don't know."

"[Name]... are you okay?"

"No."

"Um."

"I'm never okay."

"Do you need help?"

"Don't take me to the rubber room!"

"What rubber room?!"

"Don't take me there!"

"I won't?"

"Bye." [Name] disappeared. What.
