Love At First Sight

Chapter 17

Justin's POV 

I picked Selena up from her house and I drove us to the jewellery store. It was a little distant from home. We got there within about 15 minutes and we parked in the car park nearby. We got out the car and shielded our eyes from all the paparrazzi flashes. They started asked these really annoying questions and Selena and I just ignored them and went inside the store.

Selena walked up to an assistant and said, "Excuse me, would you know where your selection of your best engagement rings are?" The assistant nodded and pointed to this massive glass case of the most beautiful rings I've ever seen. We walked up to the case and we were just in awe.

"What do you think J, which one do you think Dems will like?" Selena asked me.

I looked closely at every single one, taking in each detail of each one. All of them were amazing but I need to choose one. I saw one that finally caught my eye.

"This one right here, Sel.." I said, pointing at this really unique ring. This one stuck out from the rest and I loved it. Selena agreed. It's gold and has the cutest diamond on it and has nice patterns on it. I think Demi will love this.

"We'll take this one please." I told the cashier and took it from the glass case and placed in a little black box.

"That'll be $150 please." the cashier said. Selena was about to get her credit card out but I stopped her with my hand.

"No it's alright Sel, I'll do it. Thank you though." I reassured her.

"You sure?"

"Positive Sel."

"Alright, go ahead lover boy." she said smiling at me.

I took out my card and paid for the ring. We thanked the cashier and quickly went back into the car ignoring the paps.

"Demi's gonna be so emotional when I show her this. I can just feel it." I said.

"Me too, tell me everything afterwards, promise?"

"Sure thing, Sel. Okay I was thinking we should actually go shopping now because I told Demi that I was going shopping with you. So she's probably waiting at home, expecting me to have my hands full with shopping bags. I'll hide the box in my jacket pocket or something."

"Okay, let's get there quickly though J." she replied.

After about an hour of shopping for food and clothes, I thanked Selena again and dropped her off at her house. Once I got home, I got out the car, took the bags out of the trunk and hid the box in my jacket pocket. Hopefully Demi won't know.

I unlock the door and close it behind me. "BEAUTIFUL, I'M HOME!" I yell. I see Demi coming downstairs smiling and reaching her arms out. "Selena went crazy at all the clothes shops and just said I should buy this and that for myself. I even bought a cute dress for you, beautiful. Wanna see it?" I said, laughing.

I saw her eyes light up and she nodded her head. "I know you're OBSESSED with TopShop so I bought this dress. Here you go, beautiful." I said to her.

"Awww, thank you handsome, I love it. Do you want me to help you with the rest of the bags? Looks like a lot."

"Yeah please, I need to use the bathroom quickly. Then I'll put the rest of the clothes in our room ant then come back to help you." I said picking up the bags of clothes. She nods her head and goes to sort out the food bags. When I reach the bedroom, I put the clothes away and then take off my jacket. I take the black box out and hide it in my bedside drawer. Demi never goes in there anyway so it'll be fine. I'm so excited...

Now to go help Demi...I take off my shoes and out them away and go help Demi finish unloading all the food and putting everything in its place.

In the evening sometime...

Once we finished that, we snuggled on the sofa for a little bit, watching TV and chatting about each other's day. After a while, I looked down at her and she was dozing off, her head was going up and down. My baby's sleepy.

"Hey baby..." I said softly and shook her lightly to wake her up. She rubbed her eyes and turned towards me.

"Yeah Justin?" she sounded so tired.

"Wanna go to sleep now? You're dozing off on me, let's go upstairs and you can go change."

She nodded her head and got up off me and held my hand going upstairs. We changed into our PJ's, turned off the lights and got into bed. I kiss Demi's lips and whisper goodnight to her before turning over and start to fall asleep.

Demi's POV

It's really late now and it's freezing cold. It's like minus temperture in our room all of a sudden and I can't sleep at all. I've got goosebumps all over. I lay my head on his chest and his arm is wrapped around mine. I just lie awake listening to the sound of his heartbeat with my cheek pressed up against his warm body as his chest moves up and down as he breathes. He suddenly wakes up and rolls onto his stomach and whispers softly in his tired voice.

"Baby, are you awake?"

"I can't sleep." I reply.

"How long have you been awake for?"

"Since we got into bed...I'm so cold." I said, then I feel him move around onto his side and grab my waist and pull me towards him. He starts running his fingers through my hair and says,

"Try to go to sleep, beautiful, I love you so much."

Justin lifted the covers over me and pulled me closer to him. I slowly fall asleep to him giving me a head massage and his soft breathing in my ear.
