The next day...

Demi's POV

It was the second night that we were having to deal with our daughter's stomach flu. Delilah had fallen asleep around an hour ago and we had supplied her with bottles of water and a trashcan all beside her bed just in case. I was casually lying on the sofa with Justin when our daughter came out to the living room crying, rubbing her exhausted eyes, her breathing uneven, her cheeks and nose bright red from the crying and her skin was quite pale.

"Mommy, I'm still sick." she cried out and rubbed her eyes again. My poor baby. This absolutely broke my heart. I saw Justin swoop her up into his arms and carry her back to bed. I followed them after a little while and leaned against Delilah's bedroom door, Justin was sitting at the end of the bed and she was lying down, reading her stories, wiping her face with a cold towel for when she got too hot and sweaty, and cleaning up the mess after she would throw up. He's such a good father to her.

"Don't worry about it Dems, you got it last night, you need your rest. Go to sleep beautiful, I'll handle her." He kissed me on the forehead before motioning me out the door.

I went into our bedroom and changed into my PJ's. Justin can look after her, I trust him. He's so considerate. I got into bed and pulled the covers over my body. I shut my eyes and let sleep take over, finally getting the rest I need.

The next day, in the morning...

I open my eyes and there's almost a blinding light coming through the window. I shield my eyes and turn the other way and Justin's asleep beside me. Maybe I should go check on Delilah, just to see how she is now. I slowly get out of bed, stretching my body before quietly going over to our daughter's room. The door was slightly ajar and I didn't wanna make too much noise. I went in and Delilah was fast asleep, gripping her covers. I could hear her light snores. The colour had returned to her face, she wasn't as pale. She was still a little sweaty so I just dabbed her face and the roots of her hair with a cold towel on her bedside table and I pulled her covers off slightly so she didn't get overheated. I heard the door squeak a little behind me. I turned around and made a gesture for Justin to keep quiet.

"Oh sorry Dems...I woke up and you weren't next to me so my next guess was that you'd be in Delilah's room because I saw that her door was more open." Justin whispered. We sat down on the carpet near Delilah's bed.

"It's alright. I just came to check up on her. How was she during the night? Was she okay?" I whispered.

"Honestly, she wasn't the best. She was throwing up quite a bit and she kept crying out for you, but I had to keep telling her that you were in "dreamland" and that you were really tired. She did stop crying eventually. I put her to sleep after wiping her down with a cold towel because she was really hot. She fell sleep after about fifteen minutes of just dry heaving."

"Then what happened?" I whispered to him, wide-eyed and worried. I feel sorry for my daughter so much right now.

"Then I left the room because I thought she'd be okay and I came back to bed. But then I heard her throwing up and coughing really hard again. So I got up out of bed, went over to her and started comforting her like saying "it's okay princess" and hushing her and gave her some more water."

"That's so sweet, Justin." I said smiling at him.

"Yeah...so I just stayed with her a long time. She eventually fell asleep so she was okay for the rest of the night so I came back to bed and snuggled up with you. You kept rolling around and pushing me away though in your sleep, you almost fell the bed so I had to hold your arms even tighter and you eventually calmed down and snuggled into me."
