Chapter 58

For the first time in this entire story, Delilah's POV guys :)

"Joey?" I called out from my room.

"Yeah?"

"Can you come here a second, I wanna talk to you about something."

"Coming sis." I heard his footsteps travel down to my room and saw him open my door.

"What's up?" he asked coming in and sitting on my bed. I stood in front of him with my arms folded.

"Am I in trouble, Del?" he asked innocently.

"Oh no, no, no. I just needed to talk to you about something. I don't know how you're gonna take it but who cares..."

"Okay..." he replied unsure.

"Okay, Joseph..." I cleared my throat. "There's this party that my friend invited me to and I was wondering if you wanted to come too."

"What's the catch?" Joseph asked me, raising a eyebrow at me, squinting his eyes.

"Catch? What catch? There's no catch. We go out, party. It won't be so bad, we'll have fun!" I said cheerily. I don't think Joseph was up for it by the look on his face. He's too much of a goodie-two-shoes, he should let loose and have fun like me.

"Oh I dunno about that Delilah...I don't think Mom and Dad will be happy about that...what about curfew? And I swear you're not even allowed to leave the house, aren't you in trouble?"

"No." I said quickly. Thank God he didn't catch on to my quick replies. "We'll be back before they know it. Now c'mon." I said tugging on his arm. I could tell he was a bit more convinced now. I'm so good at convincing!

"Okay. W-wait Delilah, how are we gonna leave without them leaving, they're gonna find out..."

"Joey will you please stop worrying and just follow my lead." I said to him just wanting him to shut up. I grabbed my jacket and put a pair of my best shoes on. "Go get your shoes, Joey and let's get out of here, oh and make sure you turn off your light and close your door."

Joseph quickly made his way out of my room and went to go get his shoes and jacket. I'm so excited! Joseph returned looking more nervous than ever. "Joey just relax we'll be fine." I reassured him. He just nodded and gave me a small smile. I grabbed my wallet containing my many cards and license just in case and put it in my pocket. We quietly went down a couple of steps and saw that Mom and Dad were sat watching some random TV show. It looked like they were really into it and I didn't wanna disturb them. I took Joseph's arm and went back upstairs.

"Delilah, how the heck are we gonna get out of here without Mom or Dad knowing? They're gonna find out sooner or later that we've left the house."

"Don't worry, I have a plan. We climb out the window, don't be scared it's not that far down and there's a tree right next to it so we can climb down that." I said smiling.

Joseph replied with the unsure "okay" again.

"Oh shoot, car keys." I said almost forgetting.

"Dad's car keys?" Joseph asked.

"Yes Dad's car keys, we're gonna need a car to get to the party, aren't we?"

I saw him nod his head slowly.

"Wait right there Joey, I'm just gonna go get the keys. Don't move a muscle." I ordered. I walked into Mom and Dad's room. Thank God we have no creaky floors. I saw the key on Dad's bedside key and grabbed it and put it in my pocket. I went back into the room, turned off the light and opened the window. "You have to be as quiet as you possible can, Joey."

"Okay." he whispered back. I went out first, quietly bringing my legs outside and grabbed onto the first tree branch. Slowly I made my way down to the bottom, now it's Joseph's turn. Please don't screw this up for me.

"Err...Del, a little help?!" he said raising his whisper. He wasn't far from the bottom.

"Just go down a couple more branches and I'll pull you down when you get closer to the bottom."

"I d-don't think-"

"TRUST ME."

He scoffed and continued climbing down, once he closer to the bottom, I held his waist and pulled him down to the ground. We crept over to the car and got in as quickly as possible. I turned the ignition on. Thank the Lord it had an almost silent engine. I reversed out of the driveway and we went on our way. Party here we come!

Demi's POV

It's pretty late, I'm sure the kids are in bed by now. And I'm getting pretty tired myself. "Come on J, let's get to bed."

"Alright beautiful, I'll be right there."

I went past Delilah's room and Joseph's room and their lights are off and their doors were closed so I figured they were fast asleep. I changed my clothes and I could hear Justin coming up the stairs. After he came upstairs and changed into his PJ's, he crawled into bed with me and held my waist close to him. I could feel him breathing on my neck.

"Goodnight wifey."

"Night hubby." I replied and he kissed my neck. I closed slowly drifting off to sleep.
