We arrived on time and rushed in with the help of our bodyguard into the building. We greeted Elvis, sat down opposite him and got started.
Elvis: Hello, you are listening to Elvis Duran live in New York City, you can also listen via livestream on Z100.com.
We have some very special guests here... Give it up for the fabulous Miss Demi Lovato and the amazing Mr Justin Bieber, wooo!
Demi: Yes, thank you!
Justin: Thanks man.
Elvis: Nice to have you guys here in NYC.
Demi: It's a pleasure, Elvis.
Justin: Any time.
Elvis: Great, so Demi how are you guys doing?
Demi: We're doing really good. Justin and I are fine, just been taking each day as it comes.
Justin: Yeah, we're just takin' it slow.
Elvis: Cool, so Justin, how's the album coming along, I'm not sure what the name of the title of it is though?
Justin: Yeah, the recording's good, it's nearly finished actually... I've been in the studio almost everyday last week just addin' some finishing touches to some of the songs and then I think next week I just need to finish recording my upcoming single Heartbreaker then I'll be done, I'm not revealing the name of the album just yet though Elvis, sorry.
Elvis: Fine by me Justin, glad you're progressing well.
Justin: Thank you.
Elvis: Demi, what about you? How's DEMI doin'?
Demi: DEMI is doing really great actually. It came out May 14th and it's received really positive feedback and great ratings. It's gone platinum in a lot of countries so I'm extremely grateful for everyone who bought it. I feel like I've opened up more on this album, a lot more than Unbroken, Here We Go Again, even Don't Forget. I've been through a lot in my life and I feel like recording this album was very therapeutic and helped me get a lot off my chest.
Elvis: Uh huh, yes of course, you feel like you've expressed yourself a lot more on this album, like you've put all of your effort into it right?
Demi: Definitely, I took a lot of time off, and went in the studio. I've put in a lot of effort, a lot of emotion, whole load of tears into recording this album. It helped me a lot.
Elvis: Which song or songs would you say would've been the hardest to record?
Demi: Songs on the album like Nightingale, Shouldn't Come Back and Warrior I would say were the hardest to record. They're about personal struggles like family issues and my recovery after treatment and it feels like a massive weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders.
Elvis: I completely agree, you seem a lot happier, Demi, you seem a lot more relaxed and less tense from when I last saw you, do you agree Justin?
Justin: Yeah, completely, like I went to some of her recordings for the album and I'd be outside the booth where she was singing and I could literally feel so much emotion and passion coming from her, like she meant every word of every song and it's really beautiful. I even bought a copy myself! I love it! I listen to at least 3 of her songs to get through the day and it's really amazing how such a beautiful young woman can go through much and come out a lot more stronger, confident and happy about herself. She's a lot happier now.
Elvis: That's truly inspiring, especially for people going through the same issues, Demi.
Demi: Yes couldn't agree more Elvis, all because of you Justin, thank you, I love you...
