A/N: The first eight parts took place in June. Now it's November and Luana is already in Barcelona. She studies journalism and works as a part time journalist for a spanish magazine.
*5 months later*
Oh god, did I do something wrong?
But if yes, what was it? I really give my best here. I hope they won't fire me.They don't have a reason to fire you.
Just keep cool, the logical part of my brain tells me. Well, maybe this is right.Breathing the air deep into my lungs I knock on the door.
"Come in.", I hear the female voice saying, allowing me to enter her office.
Okay, let's go. Everything will be fine, I reassure myself and grab the doorknob.
The more I push the door open, the more of the office is being exposed. A red leather couch and a glass table are placed on the left side of the office, next to it a huge window, giving you a magnificent over the downtown of Barcelona.
The cars are speeding the streets down, the tipical rush in the morning.
Trying to be as self-confident as possible, I step into the huge room. The scent of a flowery perfume gives the office an even more welcoming touch. My eyes meet my boss, Alexandra Casillas, who is sitting at her table.
"Good morning, Miss Casillas. You wanted to talk to me."
"Yes, please sit down.", she says with a warm smile and offers me a place opposite to her chair.
I walk over to the chair and sit down on it, looking at my boss, who is staring at the computer.
Again, she looks fabulous. A nice black suit fits her body perfectly and her lips are painted in a matt red colour. I would love to look like her. She is the proof, that you can be pretty and even successful, a strong independent woman."So, Luana how are you?", she asks, her voice sounding really welcoming and warmer than I expected.
"I am fine, thank you. "
"How do you like the job so far?", now her gaze meets mine.
"I really like it. Everybody is so nice here and I enjoy the job."
"I am glad to hear this. So, I would like to make you an offer."
Okay? What might this be?
"Do have time next week?", she asks me and looks again at her computer.
"Yes, I do."
"Okay, so as you probably know, there will be a festival next week in Barcelona."
"Yes, I heard of it."
"Okay, so I wanted to ask you, if you would like to interview some acts who will perform there for our magazine."
Did she really ask me this? Omg...
"Uhm yeah, sure. I would love to do this.", I manage to answer as I am still too surprised.
"I think you have the capability of becoming a good journalist, this is why I would offer you this occasion to gain some experience.", she states beholding me with her brown eyes.
"Thank you Miss Casillas, I really appreciate this."She thinks I could become a good journalist. This cannot be true, right?
I would have never expected her to tell me this, but it makes the joy grow inside of me.
This is a reason, why I should study even harder."Fine, I will give you all the details, who you will interview and when. Think of some good questions you could ask.", she tells me with a warm smile, making my inner tension fade away.
"I will."
"Think of the questions until thursday and then show them to me, so that we can decide together.", she says standing up, leading me to the door.
"Okay, thank you for giving me this chance.", I answer before leaving and going back to my work place.Let's do this. Luana Villegas, the new rising journalist is coming.
*Tuesday, 17th November, 8:36AM*
"Luana, do you want some coffee too?", I hear Emilia asking me.
"Yes please."
"How did you sleep?", she wonders handing me the cup filled with warm coffee and sits down on the chair next to me.
"Yeah, not really long, but I am fine.", I respond with a smile.
The warmth of the cup spreads through my palms and in the end warms my whole body. The cold breeze I witnessed while making my way backstage made me shiver terribly, but even worse is that my whole hair is a mess now. Thankfully I see Sergio coming over with a comb and some hairspray.
"Are you excited?", Sergio's voice makes me snap out of my thoughts.
"A little bit, I mean I am going to interview Hardwell in a few minutes.", I answer honestly.
Robbert van de Corput, yeah Hardwell.
You heard right.
Just the thought makes my body tense in excitement. It is my first interview ever and it starts with such a famous DJ.
"Don't worry, I know you will do this perfectly.", Emilia says trying to cheer me up.
"I hope so."
"Just be the way you are.", Sergio tells me with a smile on his face.
