A/N: Pic is from martinisbae.nl on instagram.😊 Idk if the song fits, but I listened to it while writing this one. 😂

You and Martin have been together for more than ten years now. Three years ago you married and now your life seems complete. Some months ago you gave birth to Martin's and your child, a little baby boy. He has the same eye colour as Martin and your hair colour. Martin took a break from producing and touring, in order to be with you and your son.
However, the last few weeks have been a rough time for you. Even though Martin supports you as good as possible you feel very tired and drained, since you would take care of the baby the whole time. Almost every night you would wake up to the babies cry, causing you lack of sleep.

*Amsterdam, 3AM*
Martin's POV:
Desperate cries echo from the babyphone, B/N (Idk how to call the baby, think of a nice name) is awake again. I sit up awake now, there is barely a night without waking up.
Suddenly I hear a silent groan, I turn around to find Y/N holding her head in pain.
"I can't Martijn, I am so done.", she moans, obviously close to crying.
"It's okay, I will get the baby. Just stay here.", I tell and stand up. Stretching myself I walk to the babyroom, getting closer to the baby crib. B/N is crying loudly, he surely has cramps again.

"Shhhh, daddy is here.", I whisper and carefully pick the baby up. With one hand I hold his back and lean his head on my chest, he is so small in my hands.
"Ssshhhh, stop crying. Big men don't cry.", I whisper and caress his cheek.
Rocking the baby slowly, I make my way back to Y/N's and my bedroom, where I find her asleep again. I sit down on the edge of the bed and continue rocking B/N to sleep.

At a certain point it becomes silent, it seems that he finally fell asleep again. As I want to stand up in order to put him to bed, he starts crying again. Great, what should I do now?

By chance I remember what my dad did some weeks ago when B/N started crying.
Let's try this.

Gently I place B/N on our bed and turn a lamp on. When the room becomes brighter I watch Y/N turning her back to me, so that she doesn't get blinded by the light. B/N is still crying, I hope this will work. I sit down next to the baby and firstly caress him on his stomach a little bit. The cries become more silent, but it doesn't stop completely.

"Where is Daddy?", I ask with a higher voice and cover my eyes.
"There is Daddy!", I respond, trying to sound as funny as possible.
"Where is Daddy?", I do the same thing again. "There is Daddy!", I look at B/N, who stares at me with his big blue-grey eyes, whose lashes shine of the tears.
Please don't start crying again.
"Where is Daddy?", I cover my eyes again. "There is Daddy!"
Suddenly I hear a silent laughter.
I turn around to see Y/N watching me with a smile on her face.
"It seems that he stopped crying.", she says getting up in a sitting position.
"Yeah, seems so.", I answer yawning.

A quiet giggle fills the room, my eyes find B/N looking at me with a huge smile. I can't help it, but I have to smile. Even though I am tired, he is my life and I can't imagine it without him anymore. He completes me.
"Y/N?", I whisper and put an arm around her shoulder.
"Hmmm?"
"Did I ever tell you, how thankful I am for having you and B/N?"
"Why so soft? No I know what you mean, I am also happy for having you two.", she responds with a smile and gives me a peck on my lips.

Y/N lays down again and I place B/N next to Y/N's head.
"And now let's go back to sleep, family Garritsen.", I announce, turning the light off and finally get in the bed again.
Carefully I place my hand on our babies stomach, trying to warm him. With my eyes closed I feel Y/N's warm hand on mine. "Good night babe, thank you."
"Good night darling, I love you.", I reply and close my eyes.
