*4PM, Amsterdam*
"Y/N, do you mind, if I and Julian go out now? He just called me and told me that he's done with studio.", your best friend asks looking up from her phone to you.
"No, you can go. I am fine with that. I can just relax by myself.", you tell honestly.
At times you'd feel like a third wheel, since Julian and your bestie are dating.
That's why you want to give them some time for themselves.
"Okay, thanks. I gotta get ready.", she says standing up.
"Okay, but hurry up.", you smile.

About 20 minutes later you see Y/Bff/N walking in the room, now wearing a fancy red dress and stilettos.
"Wow you slay. Julian will surely like it.", you reassure her, giving her a grin in admiration.
"Awww thanks, we won't be gone for too long. I don't want you to be alone."
"Oh no, don't worry. Stay as long as you want. Maybe I'll just take a little nap, I am still tired because of last night."
"Sounds like a good plan. Okay, I have to go.", she says and gives you a quick hug.
The sound of her heels mutes after she had closed the door.
As you told your best friend you walk to your bedroom and slump on the bed. First you watch some funny videos on instagram, but gradually you feel so tired, that your eyelids fall shut every now and then.

The sound of a ringing mobile phone intrudes into your brain. Convinced that the ringing is part of your dream you continue sleeping, but as you feel something vibrating in your hand your eyes instantly flutter open.
Glancing at your hand you realize that you must have fallen asleep with your phone in your hand. Without taking a look at the screen you answer the call and press your phone against your ear.
"Yeah?", you say yawning.
"Hey Y/N, it's me Martijn.", his beautiful soft voice finally wakes you up.
"Hey Martijn.", you try to tell as normal as possible while a smile already starts curling on your lips.
"Uhm, did I just wake you up?"
"No, it's okay."
"I wanted to ask you, if you want to hang out a little bit with me?"
"Yes, why not? Where should we meet?", you ask while your heart does several somersaults in excitement. Only hearing Martijn's voice influences your feelings in a weird way. There's never been a boy before, who could change your mood like that.
"What about the Central Station in about one hour?", he asks.
"Okay, I guess I'll find this on my own.", you smile, you imagine to hear a light chuckle coming from the other side.
"Okay, see you soon.", he says.
"See you.", you tell and hang up.

As the phone lands on the sheets of your bed you jump up in excitement.
"He wants to hang out with me!", you squeak running through Julian's flat.
"Oh god, what should I even wear? And I still haven't done my make up.", you talk to yourself rushing in your room back again. Opening the wardrobe you start looking for the perfect outfit in which you're going to meet Martijn. In the end you go for denim high waisted jeans and a white blouse.
Not too fancy, but also not underdressed.
The perfect outfit for a date, you think.
Having put on the clothes you walk to the bathroom. You have about 20 minutes left until you have to leave, that's why you start doing your make up once you have entered the bathroom.

After having applied some powder, eyeshadow, mascara and a red lipstick you just bought in Amsterdam, you comb your hair and fix it with a hairspray.
"Okay, Y/N. There is no need to be nervous. He's nice and you have already hung out with him. Just be the way you are.", you tell to yourself eyeing the nervous reflection of you in the mirror. Before leaving the bathroom you take a deep breath and flash a smile in the mirror to gain some confidence. With a black purse in your hand you slip your converse on and leave the flat.

Amsterdam's city life is on the highest level now, everywhere you look at you see people riding their bikes, talking on their phones or just getting in the tram. It doesn't take you long to find a train which goes to the central station, it's much easier to find the destination than you've thought. Getting in the train you find a seat next to the window.
During the ride you watch the sky slowly turning from a light blue to a soft yellow colour.
And yet another day is almost over, but there is still so much about to happen.
