Luana's POV
*1:45*
Cool whisky glides my throat down, a burning sensation awakes in my throat and in the end runs through my whole body. When the glass is empty I place it on the counter and lean on a stool.
"And then he told me that this Monica bitch is better than me...and then he just left...hahaha yeah...", I hear the last part of Emilia's story about her ex boyfriend, she is telling Sergio and me. More or less Sergio was the only one who listened to her incoherent drunk talk.
In the beginning I listened as well, but the whisky took over me and made me trap into my own thoughts. Somehow I managed to stop thinking about Martijn when he left after the interview, but once again the whisky begins to awake old feelings.

Weird, this is the right word to explain what it felt like to sit there next to him. Interviewing a one night stand, you started catching feelings for - well this surely must be another accomplished tick on one's bucket list.

While my drunk side starts thinking more and more about him, my sober side tries to avoid it.
During the interview I tried hard not to let myself fall again for him, it took me way too much effort to forget about him.
It pained me a lot, I really thought that he was different than the other boys. But in the end they are all the same.

Many people say that a person is the most honest in a drunk state. When we are sober we try to control our thoughts and we contemplate our words before we spit them out.
But when we are drunk our real feelings take over us and we just give free rein to them.

The alcohol only lets me see him.
His beautiful blue-grey eyes, his slightly curled hair, his cute red cheeks and the most adorble smile I've ever seen.
I don't know why, but I have to chuckle at the thought of his silly humor. I just couldn't help it, but I had to laugh like an idiot at today's interview. Even after all that time he could make me smile out of nowhere.

I guess all my effort was worthless. I tried to forget about him. I tried to block my feelings for him, but now I realize how much he still means to me.

"Emilia, hey wake up!"
"Ahhh no, I just want to sleep."
"Oh shit. Hey Luana, Luana...", I feel a touch on my shoulder, making me turn around within a second. It's Sergio, who supports a half asleep Emilia.
"I think the party is over for her."
"Hmm yeah, seems so.", I tell and take my purse.
"I think it's better if we go now."
"Yeah, you are right.", I say and help him with supporting Emilia.
Somehow we manage to exit the crowded club, taking care of Emilia is a real burden.
Cold air hits me as we leave the club, instantly I raise my gaze to the sky, which is very clouded and it seems like it may start raining within some seconds.
Together we walk to the parking lot, one of Emilia's arms around my shoulder and the other around Sergio's.
Carefully we make her sit on the passenger seat, she is totally passed out.

"Thank you for helping me.", he says and leans against the car.
"No problem."
"So when should we meet tomorrow?"
"I don't know, what about 3?", I suggest.
"Yes this sounds good. I can pick you up tomorrow if you want to."
"Okay, I am looking forward to it.", I say with a smile, getting a warm one in return.
"Do you want me to drive you home now?", he asks and opens the door.
"No, it's okay. I'll go by foot.", I answer after a while, I just need to sort all thoughts out. Furthermore I just need some fresh air after all the smoke.
"You sure? I mean it's late at night..."
"Don't worry...I'll be fine."
"Hmmm okay...but call me if you are in trouble."
"Okay, you are way too caring.", I chuckle and ruffle his hair.
"Okay, then see you tomorrow. Good night.", Sergio says and gets in the car.
"Good night. And take care of her.", I say and point at Emilia.
"I will, she will be ready for tomorrow."

The engine roars to life, after some seconds the car already speeds the street down, I wave in his direction.

With my stilettos on, I start walking the street down. Loud singing voices echo the street down. As I look around I spot two boys on the other side, still many people are hanging out outside, I guess most of them just came from the festival, which was until 2 in the night.
