Stand Up: One Direction

Louis' POV

I had probably apologized for my dad about a million times and after each time Elise would smile and say, "It's alright, Louis. I appreciate what you did for me."

"I would do anything for you. Really I would, in a heartbeat. You name it, I'll do it. Whatever it takes." I said while I drove Elise back to my dorm.

"Would you walk through the desert in the middle of July?" Elise tested, she laughed a little, I love her laugh.

"Not my ideal vacation, but yes I would do it if I got to see your shining face." I said, she blushed.

"How about," She thought for a little bit, "Swim all of the oceans, every single one of them?"

"Yep," I said smiling, I took a quick glance at her. She looked beautiful. Her curls cascaded on her shoulders in the vibrant orangeish redish that I loved. Her green eyes shined a she watched each passing tree, "You want to know something babe?"

"Sure Louis," Elise looked at me, my heart practically burst right out of my chest. That's all she needed, one look and I was hers. I would give her anything, the moon, the stars, anything if she wanted it.

"You didn't even have to say anything to me to make me fall in love with you. You just kind of stole my heart I guess. When I gave you your notebook that day and you just looked at me, I thought I would have died. I was so nervous. You gave me the same look as you are right now." I said, every single word was true, "I knew you had to be my girlfriend, no matter what I put myself through."

"I don't really know when I fell in love with you, I just kind of did. I know I still love you because whenever I talk to you it's like nobodies around, just us. I feel different. I feel the same kind of different when I dance. It's a good kind of different. Kind of, free."

"You are just everything I see. All of the time."  I said, I wish I had such a way with words that she did. Everything she said was articulated and perfect.

By then I had pulled into the dorm parking lot. I opened the door for her, she loved it when I did that, I knew because she would always push her hair behind her ear whenever I did something she liked. We talked about how I jumped on the table all the way up to my dorm room. I opened the door and prayed that I had remembered to tidy up a bit.

"Hey, Louis! How are you, pal? It's been a while since the last time I seen you around." Jack. No. This can't be happening, "And who might this lovely gal be?" And it's happening.

"This is my girlfriend, Elise. Elise, this is Jack, my roommate." Elise gave my hand a small squeeze, it was very comforting.

"Well, Elise, it is very nice to meet you. I'll be on my way now. Bye Louis. Bye Elise." With that Jack left. Thank goodness. I did not want him anywhere near Elise.

"Louis what was that all about? How come you kind of freaked out when you saw Jack? Are you guys not friends or something?" Elise said as she sat down on my bed.

"Oh it's nothing, we are friends, we just recently had a fight about something, but it's not a big deal now." That was a lie.

"Oh, alright, I get it if you don't want to talk about it." Elise said, I think she knows I was lying.

"Hey, listen would you mind if I got changed really fast? This shirt is killing me. I hate fancy shirts like this." That was far from a lie. I looked through the mirror at her and saw that she was playing on her phone, she wouldn't mind. I took off my dress shirt and looked for a normal shirt.

I looked up and into the mirror to see Elise staring at me, "You know, if you took a picture it would last longer, babe." Boy, did her face get red.

"Um, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare it just-" She was so cute when she was embarrassed. She tucked her hair behind her ear, "Can I just, like poke your stomach? Sorry that sounds weird but, come on it looks solid."

She got up and walked over to me, her finger traced the tattoo on my chest, I loved when she did that, and then poked my abdomen. It kind of tickled, "See I was right, like a rock." We both laughed.

"I had fun today, despite my dad being an idiot, I really did." I said as I put on a shirt. The disappointment in her eyes was priceless.

"Me too, tomorrow I'm alone again in the studio, would you like to come?" Elise asked.

"I would love to accompany you. Also, I am coming to your performance on Saturday, be ready. I will make a sign that lights up and a whole bunch of stuff." I said while laying with her on my bed.

"Okay, but no funny faces! They make me laugh when I'm supposed to be serious." Elise laughed.

"Oh what, you mean like this one?" I said while giving her my cross eyed tongue out face. She laughed so hard at that one, "Or how about this one?" I showed her another funny face and she laughed even harder.

"Yes those! Now I better head back to my dorm because it's getting late." Elise said as she got up. I wanted her to stay. I loved it when she stayed over.

"You can stay here. You can borrow clothes to sleep in. You can change in the closet, or out here I don't mind." I said, adding a wink.

"I'll stay, and change in the closet if you don't mind. Thanks for letting me stay. I really did not want to walk all of the way there in these shoes." Elise said.

"It's quite alright, I love when you stay over." I gave her a quick kiss and handed her my sweatshirt and my sweatpants.

She changed in the closet and even though my clothes were far too big for her, she still looked beautiful.

"I hope you know that I am keeping this sweatshirt because it is so comfortable." She said as she laid down next to me. She absentmindedly traced my tattoos with her finger.

"You can take them all if you want, you look stunning in my clothes." I said.

"Thank you Louis, but if you come here one day and all your sweatshirts have disappeared, don't be alarmed. It smells like you too. I like that smell." Elise said, she yawned a little and I held her in my arms.

Within five minutes, we were both sleeping. I had a dream about her. It was wonderful.
