Sparks Fly: Taylor Swift

Elise's POV

Louis and I woke up at about eleven to a thunderstorm. I had to be at the studio at eleven thirty and it was all the way across campus, by my dorm.

"Louis, can you drive me to my dorm so I can get changed? From there we can walk to the studio if it stops raining and we will get there right on time?" I said as I grabbed my dress from last night. As awkward as that sounds, nothing happened, I just borrowed his clothes.

"Of course babe, anything for you." He said as he grabbed his keys and opened the door for me. As I walked out he gave me a quick kiss on my forehead, "I'll wait in the car for you if you want."

"Thanks Louis. I appreciate it I owe you one." I said as we got into his car. It was really raining. I like when it rains, it's calming.

"Well, my love, we are here, no go and get ready my beautiful ballerina." Louis said as we reached my dorm. It was about a fifteen minute drive from his dorm. The studio was a five minute walk from my dorm. I gave Louis a kiss and ran to go get changed.

I got changed into my leotard and tights and put Louis' clothes on over it. Thank goodness my roommate wasn't in the room, she's always partying or drunk or hung over or vomiting or with a guy. I brushed my teeth, grabbed my dance bag and ran back down to Louis' car. I was heading down the stairs when I heard a familiar voice. I stopped dead in my tracks, they were talking about Louis.

"Yeah, Louis' girlfriend is pretty hot. I met her last night when they were coming in the room. I can't believe he's going out with a girl like her, she's diffidently not his type. I don't give them the rest of the week." It was Jack, talking about us?

"I don't know man, he seems really into her and she seems into him.  He always ditches us to hang out with her. It's pretty obnoxious." I didn't know that person who was talking. This was strange.

"Yeah, maybe we should take him out for some fun. Get drunk and get girls. You know?" Jack again.

"Maybe, but what about the girlfriend? He's not going to be cool as long as they're dating." The mysterious guy said.

"Well then maybe we should spice up their relationship, you know what I'm saying, Zayn?" Jack said, what the hell was going on?

"Nope, not following, but I'll catch up with you later I got class now." Zayn said, I heard him jog away. I continued down the stairs and into Louis' car.

"You ready to go?" Louis said smiling, as I got into his car, it was still raining. I nodded as he drove like to minutes to the studio.

We ran in together and I got ready to practice. Louis took his seat in front of the mirror. I did my warm-ups and then started practicing. Louis didn't make any funny faces this time, he just smiled. Louis' smile made me smile, it was like fireworks exploding through every inch of my body. When I finished I was out of breath.

"Wow," Louis exclaimed, "This is only the second time I've seen it and it's even better than before. I really love it." I blushed, I worked so hard on this dance.

"Thank you, did you see that I changed that one part where instead of doing a turn I added an illusion instead. Did you like that better or should I stick with the turn?" I asked, his opinion mattered to me.

"I love your illusion, and your turns, so you are bound to do perfect with no matter what you do. " Louis said as he got up from his seat.

"Thank you Louis, I like to have your input." I said, I was blushing, I could feel it.

"Anytime, remember last time how we were slow dancing?" Louis asked as he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, I nodded, "Can we, um, do that again?"

"Anytime you want, Louis." I said as he smiled and I pressed play to a random slow song on my phone. We started slow dancing and it was magical.

"You know, I'm a pretty guarded person, until I met you." Louis whispered, "And wow, your green eyes are just wow." I laughed a little.

"Thank you," I said, I couldn't stop thinking about what Louis' friends had said. it was tearing me apart. I hope he can't see what I'm thinking about.

"You captivate me, you know that? Everything about you just interests me. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else."

"Elise, is that you?" Of course, my mother, Of course that would happen. Of course, just my luck. Of course this was happening. Just after the whole fiasco with Louis' dad, my mother comes along. Just awesome.

I stepped away from Louis, yep, that was my mother. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom, a lot, but we never really have seen eye to eye with a lot of stuff. She hates tattoos, and I am intrigued by them. So, I have neglected to tell her about Louis.

I thrive for her affection, her support, her, well, anything. Everything I did, I did for her approval. Every class I took, anything.

"Mom? What are you doing here? You weren't supposed to come up until next week?" I said, she was staring at Louis. Oh no. This was happening.

"I came up early. Who is your friend, Ellie?" And there was that childish nickname that she used whenever she was mad at me.

I held Louis' hand and he gave it a small squeeze, I guess that was our thing now, "This is my boyfriend, Louis. Louis, this is my mother."

"Hello Mrs. Williams, it's nice to meet you." Louis said politely as he stuck out his hand for my mother. She looked at his hand and shook it. Not as bad as I thought.

"Well, Elise, I came here to watch you practice, I guess I am too late. I will be on my way now. Nice to meet you Louis. Elise can you come here for a minute." Oh no, here it goes. I walked outside with her, it was pouring.

My mother and I stood in the rain, she was under her umbrella and I was getting soaked by the second, "Elise I don't like him, you know how I feel about tattoos. I don't think you two should be together. He's reckless." She said calmly.

"Mom, you don't even know him. I love him, I get this feeling in my stomach whenever I'm around him that I only get when I dance. That's how I know he's special. You don't even know him." I said as my hair was sticking to my face from the rain.

"We can talk about this at another time, but for now I do not want you two to be together. Do you understand?" She said, she was mad.

"But Mom I-" I tried to tell her how much I love him.

"I don't want to hear it. Goodbye, Elise." She just walked away.

I stood in the rain for a little as I watched her drive away. I started crying after a while. I heard someone run up behind me.

"Elise? Are you okay?" Louis said as he put his jacket around my shoulders. I hugged him tightly, I couldn't break up with him.

"Louis, I love you. But nobody loves us, together. Nobody wants us together. But, but I can't live without you, Louis, I just can't. Every moment that I'm not with you, I'm wishing that I was." I cried into his chest, he was soaked by now too.

"I want us together. You want us together. That's enough for me. I can't live without you either." Louis said as he hugged me tightly. He lifted my chin up and kissed me. Sparks flew.

"It looks like that it's just us against the world." I whispered.
