Need You Now: Lady Antebellum
Louis' POV
Destroyed. Pulverized. Damaged. Devastated. Shattered. It was probably a quarter after one. I laid on my bed with my phone just inches away. Just incase she called. Who am I kidding, I need to get over her. She wasn't even that into me. I probably didn't even cross her mind. She was just always there. It's like she was tattooed there.
I had a picture of us on my dresser. I walked over to it and picked it up. I was making a funny face and she was laughing. I don't even think she knew I took the picture. We were so happy, she's so beautiful. In the picture she was in the middle of tucking her hair behind her ear as she laughed. It hurt just to look at it.
I hate being without her. I need her, I need her laugh and her smile and I need to know that she's there. I need the way she tucks her hair behind her ears and her two secret tattoos that only I know about. I need her random quotes from movies and books and songs and anything. I can't think without her. Anything I see brings me back to her. I just wish she could just walk through my door and say she was wrong and that she loved me.
I put the picture back, sat down on my bed and picked up my phone. I so desperately wanted to call her, I wanted to hear her voice. All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door. I jumped up, maybe it was Elise. Maybe she loved me still.
I opened the door to reveal a frantic Niall. Niall. Anger bubbled over inside of me and replaced all of the heart ache, "What are you doing here you punk? You already stole my girlfriend, what else do you want?"
"No I think something is wrong with Elise, I went to go talk to her and her dorm was practically torn apart. The door was wide open and she's not there. I don't know where she is, I thought she was with you, but by the look of the empty whiskey bottle, she's not." I nearly forgot about my whiskey, I didn't even feel drunk.
"Look Horan, this isn't any time to start pointing out what I had to drink this evening, alright? Elise and I broke up tonight because of you. You just had to kiss her, didn't you? Didn't you?" I yelled.
"Louis stop, we have to find her. She had a couple of drinks at the party, what if she gets hurt?" Niall said, he had a point.
"Alright fine, you are sure she isn't in her dorm?" I said as I grabbed my keys. Where could she go?
"Positive, don't you think your a little drunk to drive?" He had another point, but I needed to find her. She could be hurt.
"Did you check the dance studio?" I asked, ignoring his question, maybe she went there to let off steam. She always said that was her escape.
"No, I didn't know she danced," Niall said as we jumped in my car, "Look I'm sorry about what happened at the party. It wasn't right, I just got jealous. But I really do love her."
"You don't love her like I do, alright? You don't get it." I drove probably at about nine times the speed limit just to get there. Niall sure shut up after that. The light was on in the studio, she was there. She had to be there.
I flew out of my car, Niall filed right behind me. I ran up to the door, unfortunately it was locked. I saw Elise through the window, I could hear Fix You blasting through the speakers. She looked afraid, she was falling out of every jump and turn, but she kept getting back up. She was crying, but she kept going. She was in my clothes.
Niall was knocking on the door, but Elise couldn't hear over the music, "Louis, we gotta break the door down." Niall said, he was right. The moron, relationship ruiner was right. I looked back through the glass, I couldn't stand to see her cry. I took a step back and ran right into the door, it broke on impact, "Or you could do that instead."
"Louis!" Elise yelled as she ran over to me and hugged me, I wrapped my arms tightly around her, I never wanted to lose her again, "Promise me you won't leave me?" She cried. Niall kind of stood there, it must be awkward for him.
"I won't ever leave you again, I promise, I love you," I whispered into her hair, "What's wrong? How come you're here? At like two in the morning? Are you okay?"
"I forgot to take my medication and I started to-" Elise stammered, she wasn't crying anymore.
"Medication? For what? Are you sick?" I said, what could she possibly need medication for?
"If I don't take my medication, I get anxiety attacks and this time it was really bad and I didn't know what to do and so I took the medication but it didn't work and I wanted to call you because I needed you and I couldn't fight it anymore, so I came here." Elise said, anxiety? You couldn't even tell. I could not believe that something like that happened to her. I pulled her in close.
"I'm sorry, you can always call me if you need me, even when you may think I'm mad at you. I don't know what I would do without you." I said, it was all true.
"I need you in my life Louis."
"I need you too, Elise, I need you too." I whispered.
Elise pulled away and glanced behind me, Niall.
"What are you doing here you good for nothing, son of a-" Elise started to say.
"Hey, without him, I would never have known you were gone, even though he really screwed up tonight." I said, I can't believe I was defending this good for nothing son of a-
"Look, Elise, I'm really sorry about what happened and how it ended up. I just couldn't, uh, control myself. I'm sorry." Niall said, I believed that he was sorry, but he still loved Elise.
"It's okay, but me and Louis are together and I swear the next time you try to pull something like that again I will do more than pour beer on you. By the way, I'm sorry for that." Elise said, we all kind of forced a laugh.
"Don't worry, won't happen again," Niall said, "But now what are we going to do about this door?"
