They Don't Know About Us: One Direction

Elise's POV

"Elise," Louis said as we sat in the library to do homework, "I want you to meet my parents. I know we have only been dating for a short amount of time, but I just think that's our next step, you know? Plus I didn't really want to wait much longer to tell them."

He wants me to meet his parents. That was a big step for us, "Yeah, sure, when and where Louis?" I asked, blushing.

Louis' smile was so wide, "I'll pick you up at six thirty. We were invited out to dinner. They are going to love you. But my sisters are staying with my grandma, so you won't get to meet them, sorry, baby."

"It's alright, I'm excited. What should I wear? What if they don't like me?" I said, I felt nervous all of a sudden. What if they didn't like me?

"Relax love, they will love you. I love you. I've waited all my life for someone like you. Being with you just keeps getting better."

"Alright, I have to go get ready. See you later, Louis. I love you." I said as I picked my bag up to leave.

Louis jumped up and kissed my forehead, "Don't get nervous, I love you too."

I was nervous. So damn nervous. What if they don't like me and force us to break up? Maybe I'm not ready for this. Maybe I'm not ready to meet his parents. Who am I kidding, they are just people? I shouldn't worry about this. Stupid internal turmoil.

By the time six thirty rolled around I was emotionally and physically prepared for this. I had on a navy dress with a ruffle by my waist. It was my favorite dress. I wore my brown oxfords and curled my hair. Just as I was slipping on my shoes, I heard a knock on the door. Louis. My heart fluttered and soared at the thought of him.

"Wow," He said as I opened the door, "You look, wow, wow. You are just, wow, stunning. Wow." I laughed, he was so adorable when he stumbled with words.

"You look wow yourself," I said, probably blushing, "You can come in if want. I just have to finish getting ready."

Louis blushed, "Sure, I uh, got you flowers by the way. I hope you like them. You really look wow, I love you."

"Thank you, Louis, I love them," I said, taking the flowers from him, "I love you too, I really do." Louis smiled and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. He was so, wow, when he did that. I loved it.

I finished getting ready and we walked down to his car holding hands. He kept stuttering trying to say that I looked beautiful and how his parents are going to love me, but I was nervous. What if they really didn't like me?

We finally arrived to some swanky Italian restaurant and Louis opened my door for me. He led me into the restaurant where we met his parents. His mother, Johannah, was very sweet and said my dress was beautiful, she even gave me a hug. Louis' dad, Troy, was not so welcoming, he coldly shook my hand and we all took a seat.

"So, Elise, what are you majoring in?" Troy asked after taking a sip of his water.

Louis held my hand under the table and gave it a small squeeze, he knew I was nervous. I had met tons of my ex-boyfriend's parents and I have never been this nervous.  I took a sip of my water in order to try and relax.

"I am majoring in dance and I plan on becoming a choreographer," I said, "However, I also am interested in classic literature."

"What will you do when you don't make it as a dancer?" Troy said, wow, that stung a little.

"Actually, Dad, Elise is superb, you really should see her. The girls would love to watch her. She's fantastic. Mother, you would love to watch her too. Oh, and Elise can recite lines from movies and books and plays and songs, even stuff like Shakespeare, and it's verbatim." Louis interjected, I am so glad he did.

"Well Elise, I would love to see you dance. Are in you any performances?" Johannah asked.

"Yes I am, I am in the Dance Team and I work at a local theatre that specializes in dance. You are all welcome to come and watch. My next show is Saturday if you would like to come." I said, Troy seem uninterested, but Johannah was ecstatic.

"We would love to come and watch you, wouldn't we Troy?" Johannah beamed.

"Saturday is my golfing day. You know that Johannah." Troy spat. Louis was beginning to get mad at his father. I had a feeling this was not going to end well.

"May I take your order?" Saved via waiter. I could not stand another moment on this topic. I felt like fainting. I shakily gave my order to the waiter. Louis held my hand under the table.

When the waiter left, Louis firmly stood up and said, "Excuse me I have to go to the bathroom. Dad you have to go too. Let's go." Troy followed. Here it goes.

Within moments of them reaching the back of the restaurant, you could hear the argument. Louis was yelling at Troy and Troy was yelling at Louis. About me. No staff of the restaurant had the courage to go back there and stop the fight. People at other tables were whispering about it. I felt like crying. Johannah excused herself and went back there, leaving me alone at the table with a basket of bread. Everyone was staring at me, whispering about me.

I decided to get up and join the "party" in the back of the restaurant. As I got closer I was able to hear them perfectly. I stood outside the door, just listening.

"Louis she's a dancer for crying out loud! She's not getting anywhere! She isn't worth your time." Troy screamed at Louis.

"Troy! You have been very rude to that poor girl this entire evening. You need to stop screaming at Louis and apologize and give them both the respect they deserve." Johannah said sternly.

"I love her, Dad. You don't know anything about us. She loves me. You don't understand, everything just is just right with her. I just with you could be happy for me. I want her in my life, for forever." Louis screamed back. Forever? He wants to be with me forever?

"You don't understand forever, Lou! You don't know anything about love! You wouldn't know love if it hit you on the face. You don't know what your talking about." Troy replied. This was all my fault. I was tearing this family apart.

"Elise?" Louis whispered, I looked up into his eyes, "How long have you been standing there? I'm sorry you had to hear it. Hold on a second let me do something."

And with that Louis jumped onto an empty table in the middle of the restaurant, everyone gasped, "ATTENTION EVERYONE IN THIS PLACE. HEY YOU WITH THE STRIPES I AM TALKING TO YOU TOO ALRIGHT. I, LOUIS WILLIAM TOMLINSON, AM IN LOVE WITH ELISE WILLIAMS. SHE IS A VERY SPECIAL GIRL TO ME AND I REALLY LOVE HER. MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE. SO SOME MORON THINKS THAT WE SHOULD NOT BE TOGETHER BUT I HONESTLY DON'T GIVE A FLYING COW CHIP ABOUT IT BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MUCH I LOVE HER. EVEN IF THAT MORON IS MY DAD. SORRY FOR THE INTERUPPTION I JUST WANTED TO TELL EVERYONE THAT THAT GIRL OVER THERE IN THE STUNNING NAVY DRESS IS MINE. Thank you and enjoy your meal."

He jumped down from the table and ran up to me, "Hi." He kissed me and I felt so strange. At first I was so disheartened by the fact that Troy didn't like me, but now I was flying on Cloud Nine. \

With his arm around my shoulder, we walked out of the restaurant together.
