Last First Kiss: One Direction

Elise's POV

The last year and half with Louis has been great. We graduated about a month ago and now we are settling into our apartment in the city with our dog, Crumbles. It was a beautiful apartment, Louis' grandmother was more than generous with offering to pay for most of the apartment's costs.

It overlooked the streets in SoHo and the entire back wall was made of windows. The rest of the walls were exposed brick and the floors were dark brown. It was really beautiful. It came fully furnished. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Today I was home awaiting an important phone call from a Broadway play, Wicked, that I had auditioned for. I thought I aced the audition and I was really hoping for some good news. I desperately wanted a role in Wicked, it was my all-time favorite play. Louis and I saw it together for our one year anniversary, it was wonderful.

Louis was at work while I unpacked some of the last boxes. It was a bow full of lovely pictures of me and Louis. I had many favorite pictures. I came across a picture where we were sitting in his dorm and he was making me laugh with a funny face. I was tucking a piece of hair behind my head and Louis' eyes were crossed and his tongue was hanging out. I smiled to myself and took out the next picture.

It was taken in London by one of his sisters. We were in his grandmother's backyard and we were both adorning huge goofy smiles and he was hugging me from behind.

The next picture was taken by Ava and Zayn after one of my shows. We were slow dancing on the empty stage. We were looking at each other and smiling, it was an adorable picture.

The last picture in the box was when we adopted Crumbles a few weeks ago. Louis had his arm around me and Crumbles was licking my cheek. I laughed to myself at the picture.

"What's so funny?" I heard Louis say behind me, he was home quite early.

"Nothing, I was just looking at the pictures, what are you doing home?" I asked and kissed his cheek. He put his jacket on the hook and hugged me.

"I have a surprise for you and Crumbles, but you have to get changed really fast." He smiled. I loved his smile, it was so contagious. Crumbles jumped around our feet and barked.

"What, your sweatpants and my sweatshirt won't cut it for you?" I fake pouted.

"No, you look beautiful in my clothes, but we are going out so go run and get changed. I have to get changed too so hurry babe."

I nodded and went into the bedroom to change. I picked out jeans, a black floral tank top and an army green jacket. I ran a brush through my hair a few times and walked out into the living room.

"Where are we going?" I asked as Louis ran into the bedroom to get changed into jeans and a shirt.

"Central Park, you ready?" He walked out of the bedroom and took my hand, "Bye Crummy!" Louis shouted as he locked the apartment door. Crummy was the dog's nickname.

The drive to Central Park doesn't take too long. Louis was practically running and dragging me throughout the park. Set up in the middle of the park was a huge screen and lot's of people were sitting on blankets. There must be a movie playing tonight.

Sure enough, as soon as we sat down on a bench, I heard the familiar opening to Say Anything. Lot's of people were wearing black hoodies, I guess I didn't get the memo.

"This is why we had to rush," Louis whispered as he put his arm around me. I kissed his cheek and enjoyed the movie.

When it was over the screen went white, in big purple script letters, the screen read ELISE WILL YOU MARRY ME? Wasn't that cute, someone was proposing to their girlfriend. I've always loved marriage proposals, I find them magical.
