Sokkas POV:
As the lighting left Azulas hands everything slowed down. I watched the path of the lightning and saw it hit Anya square in the chest and shoulder. I just stood there crying out her name, I didn't know what else to do.
After it happens we all shoot whatever we have at her before she disappears. Then we all rush over to Anya, including Zukos uncle.....
Iroh: Can I help in anyway? I have dealt with burns like this before.
Katara: No, but thank you, we just have to get her back on Appa and to somewhere safe. I don't think I can do anymore to help right now, the wound is too deep we will have to cure it a different way.
I watch Katara open Anya's shirt and apply water while I put my head on my knees and try not to cry, then I feel a hand on my shoulder.
Katara: Sokka, once we get her somewhere safe I can work on her more and she will be ok. Don't worry.
I nod and walk over and pick her up bridal style and start walking to Appa.
Aang: Where would be the best place to take her?
Toph: We could take her to a small village.
Aang: We could take her to one of the air temples, no one would think to look there.
Katara: I don't know, a village is too out in the open and the air temples are too far we have to get somewhere fast.
Sokka: What about Kyoshi Island?
Everyone looks at me and nods
Katara: That's a great idea Sokka, we better get going.
We get on Appa and once again tuck Anya into her sleeping bag. Katara comes over and places her hand in Anya's hand.
Katara: Sokka why don't you go sharpen your boomerang, I will watch over her.
Sokka: No, that's ok I don't mind watching her.
Katara: We can do it together.
She scoots over to me and puts her arm around my shoulder.
We fly for a few more hours until we finally reach Kyoshi Island. We land on the shore where we are greeted by the village.
Oshi: Avatar Aang, you are back! To what do we owe this honor?
Aang floats down.
Aang: Our friend is injured and we need a place to have her healed and this was the closest place and we trust everyone of you.
Oshi: Oh my well there is no time to waste, all of the Kyoshi Warriors are trained in healing, girls! Come quickly!
Suki: Hey Aang, what are you guys doing back here?
In answer to her question I walk up with Anya in my arms. Suki looks down at her and covers her mouth in shock.
Sokka: This is our new friend Anya and she was shot by lightning by Zukos crazy sister, she is fading fast, we really need your help.
She nods and tells the other girls to bring a stretcher.
Suki: Ok Sokka we will bring her to the medical tent.
Suki tried to grab her out of my arms but I did not want to let her go.
Katara: Sokka give Anya to Suki.
I hesitate for another second but the. I place Anya on the stretcher and follow right next to it. Me, Katara, Aang and Toph all follow behind and into the medical tent. The Warriors place Anya on a bed.
Suki: Ok Katara would you mind helping us?
Katara: Not at all I was going to insist I help.
Suki: Great, Sokka, Aang, you are going to have to leave.
Sokka: I'm not leaving her.
Katara: Sokka, you can't stay she is going to be half naked.
Sokka: IM NOT LEAVING HER!
Aang: Come on Sokka, it'll be ok.
Then Aang pulls me out of the room.
Kataras POV:
I am in the medical tent with the Warriors and Toph.
Suki: Ok first things first we have to take her shirt and bindings off.
We start to take them off but it turns out that they are stuck on with blood.
Katara: Here.
I grab a cloth and dip it in water and scrub away the blood while ripping away the clothing.
Suki: Thanks, now Katara you probably know the most about healing, do you want to start with some water or should we just heal it the old fashioned way?
Katara: Actually I think we should do a combination of both.
Suki nods and we get to work.
After a few hours we finally get Anya cleaned up and stitched and bandaged up.
Katara: I'm gunna go get Sokka and Aang.
I walk outside and see both of the boys leaning against the medical hut with their head in their knees.
Katara: You guys can come in now.
They both look up at me and enter the tent where I see Sokkas eyes go wide and sad when he sees Anya on the bed bandaged from her shoulder to her stomach.
Sokka: Is she going to be ok?
Katara: She's going to be fine, she will wake up in a few days at the longest a week.
Sokka walks over to Anya and sits by her side and holds her hand.
Sokka: I'm not leaving her side.
Me and Sukki nod.
Sukki: I'll be back in a little while to check on her.
Katara: Thanks Sukki I really appreciate it. I can't wait for you to really meet Anya, I think you guys will get along really well.
Sukki smiles and then leaves.
Katara: Do you want me to stay with you or do you want to be alone?
Sokka: I'd like a little time alone with her if you don't mind.
I nod and walk out but not before I see Sokka place a kiss on Anya's forehead.
