Aangs POV:
Both Anya and I stare up at Gyatso and wait for him to begin his story.
Gyatso: So, I guess I should start at the beginning. Well Anya was of course born first only a few years before you Aang, her mother took her to the Northern Air Temple and her father stayed at the Southern Air Temple with me. I was good friends with your parents. They were very good students.
One day we got a message the Anya and your mother were visiting the Southern Air Temple. By then Anya was about 3 years old, that was the visit your mother became pregnant with you Aang. While Anya and your mother were at the Southern Air Temple I started to see Anyas potential to be an Air Bending Master, so I began to train her at a very young age.
Anya, you and I were very close, I know you do not remember but you always called me Gya because you could not say my name. Finally Aang was born, unfortunately your mother did not make it. A few years later Aang was old enough to start his training, you both picked it up so quickly and soon you both became masters.
Aang: Wait wait, if we are both masters then how come Anya does not have her arrows like me?
Gyatso: Because, once we found out about Anya bending two elements we knew that we had to move her to a new location. We knew that the firenation was getting close to us so we thought this was the perfect moment to move Anya elsewhere, so we did.
We took her to the Northern Watertribe where a family of 3, the royal family wanted another child, we made our way to the Northern Watertribe where we introduced you to them.
Flashback
Yue: Mama, is it true that I'm going to have a new baby sister?
Mother: Yes darling, she is 8 years old and he name is Anya, now we must be very kind to her, she is leaving her home to come live with us.
Yue nods
Flashback ends
Gyatso: Of course before we took her there we had to wipe her memory. That, was the hardest thing I ever had to do. It was hard to see that you did not know who I was. We had to replace memory's of us with your new family, we have you to them and you seemed as if you had been there your entire life, it broke my heart but it had to be done, and we wiped Aangs memory of you as well.
Aang: Why Gyatso? Why?
Gyatso: We already has the avatar to look after, the high monks decided that we did not need two unique children to look after. Believe me, I was against it but I can't fight all of them. I am so sorry Anya, I'm sorry that you did not know who you really are until now.
Anya: It's ok, I mean, I wish I knew sooner but I know now, and that's what's important. By the way, where is our father now?
Gyatso: He fought along side me when the fire endears invaded the Southern Air Temple, he, he didn't make it.
Anya: Oh. Well, I least I got to meet you, again I mean.
Aang: Thank you for telling us Gyatso, thank you.
Gyatso: My little lemurs.
