Anyas POV:
I feel myself engulfed in warmth, as well as pain, terrible pain.  I try to open my eyes but it feels like they are covered in rocks, they are too heavy to lift.  Finally I'm able to shakily open them, I see myself wrapped in blankets and bandages, again with the bandages.  I can barley remember what happened to me, the last thing I remember is going toe to toe with crazy.  I try to sit up and manage to prop myself up on pillows just enough but I feel like my chest is on fire.  I let out a groan, just as I'm about to close my eyes again I see a fire nation insignia on the wall of the room and start to panic.

I try to calm myself down and think rationally, even though I am in a room with a fire nation insignia why would they bother healing me, so I take some deep breaths and calm down and just then the door opens and Katara enters holding a towel and a bowl of water which she drops once she sees that I am awake.  "Oh my god!  Anya!  You're finally awake!"  She rushes to my side and sits in the bed.  "How do you feel?"  "Like I was mauled by a playapus bear."  I say with a grimace.  "A platypus bear named Azula," Katara says as she starts to water bend, "let me give you a healing session," she says as she pulls open my shirt and undos the bandages and starts to heal me.

Katara stays with me for awhile and updates me on what's happened, apparently I've been out for a few weeks and Aang woke up about an hour before I did and how the Earth Kingdom had fallen.  "So, what happens now?"  I ask worriedly "well first we need to get you and Aang better and then we can focus on Sokkas plan."  Katara says as she re dresses my wounds.  "Oh my god Sokka!  Where is he!?  Can I see him!?"  I ask excitedly as Katara pushes me back down onto my pillow, "take it easy, I'll bring him down alright?"  She soothes and smiles, and I smile back.

After a few minutes Katara returns with Sokka, Aang and Toph, I was happy to see all of them but I will say I was hoping to get Sokka alone.  "Hey air head, it's good to see you awake," Toph says with her devilish grin, "thank you for not punching me in the arm like you normally do," I say with a laugh, "I'm so glad that we're both finally awake," Aang says and we smile at each other, "Aang you should be out of bed, you shouldn't be standing up right now."  I say worriedly "don't worry I'm taking him back to his room for a healing session right now," Katara says as she leads Aang and Toph out of the room, leaving Anya and Sokka alone.

Sokka approaches my bed and sits down gently, "you scared me to death!  Please don't do that again."  He says as he rubs my cheek with his thumb, I look up at him with a tired smile, "it wasn't my intention, hasn't been much fun for me either," I say with a goofy grin, "I mean it Anya, I thought I lost you, seeing you like that, your eyes closed, your face pale, I-I couldn't take it, I wanted to trade my life for yours in that very instant."  Sokka says all this while holding my hands tightly between his own, a tear finding bits way down his cheek, I wipe it away gently with my finger and pull his lips onto mine, "you can't get rid of me that easily boomerang boy."
