I moved through the day as normally as possible. I forced my self to think about anything other than Shelly, so that I didn't fail my classes. I also made sure to meet that guy outside after school to get notes.
Walking to my locker I notice that Glimmer is completely distracted by her phone. I break her concentration by saying "Before we can leave I have to meet a guy outside to get some notes."
"What? How did you miss notes? In what class?" She looks at me shocked.
"Its no big deal. I was just late to history. Thats all." Glimmer's left eyebrow rises as the right falls. "Its a long complicated story," I say in response to the eyebrows thinking back to my conversation with Shelly this morning.
Shaking away the beautiful memory I quickly finish with my locker and start walking towards the main entrance. Glimmer follows closely behind no longer messing with her phone. Stepping into the cold air of fall I say "This won't take long, I'll meet you in the car."
Glimmer huffs and stomps her way toward the car. I turn and immediately see the guy from history. He is much taller than me and wearing athletic type clothing. His black hair is a mess on top of his head. I walk over to greet him. He doesn't move. To move things along I ask "So could I have those notes?"
He responds like I never said anything "You know I never noticed how pretty you are, but after that party last week its all anyone can talk about. At least anyone cool."
"Thanks? If I could just get those notes and get out of here."
He reaches over and pets my hair. I cock my eyebrow at him, but he doesn't notice because is not looking at my face. I start to feel awkward so I say "I don't think I ever learned your name. What was it again?"
He responds "Mason," while he forcefully push some of my hair behind my shoulder.
I quickly take a step back and say "Dude! I just came for notes, not to be caressed by a pervert!" He takes a step forward, but his step is bigger than mine, so he is practically standing on my toes. He clutches my shoulders hard. I gasp in pain and look at his fingers that are turning pure white. As I look up to yell at him his face smacks into mine. I think he is trying to kiss me, but really he is just smashing our heads together with his lips touching where my lips have recoiled to the inside of my mouth. I immediately push against his chest and separate our faces. Mason stills has ahold of my shoulders so I don't move too far away, but I gain enough room to shout "No" in his face.
He ignores me and moves in for another kiss. This time my lips don't move fast enough and it becomes a real kiss, but it feels wrong. My eyes are wide open as I try to push away from him again. I am struggling to get space between our mouths.
I see a water fountain right behind him and for some reason I can sense the water flowing through the pipes. As I close my hands into fist to pound on his chest I feel the water change its motion and move towards the spout. I pull my fist back to gain power for hitting him, but just then the water from the fountain sprays out of the spout hard and directly at Masons back. His hands release my shoulders and he throws his head back in shock from the water. As soon as I am free I take a few steps backward and turn to run. Pushing myself I run towards the car and hear Mason yell "Witch."
