At home I stared in the mirror at my outfit choice for my date. I'm wearing a simple white sweater with skinny dark wash blue jeans. I have on a pair of light brown combat boots and accessorized with a red scarf. I decide to try to pull my hair out of my face by pulling it into a ponytail. Partly satisfied with my appearance, I grab my purse and walk down the stairs. I hear a knock on the front door just as I step off the stairs. I open the door to reveal Shelly wearing a beautiful leather jacket over a blouse and a pair of white skinny jeans. Her strawberry blonde hair is wonderfully curled and her soft pink lips smile back at me. Her chocolatey eyes scan my appearance. I smile widely as her face shines with approval. She lifts her hand and holds it out for me to grab. I happily comply and close the door behind me as we walk towards her car. She pulls my door open and helps me climb in. "By the way you look ravishing tonight," she says before slowly closing the door and happily walking around the car to the driver's seat.
"Thank you, and you look very nice as well." I smile again, shyly. She smiles back and begins to drive away from my house.
Arriving at the theater Shelly helps me climb out of the passenger seat. We walk to the entrance and join the ticket line. I turn to Shelly and ask "So what movie are we going to see?"
"I don't know, probably which ever one has the closest showing. I'm kind of interested in any of them, but mainly I'm interested in you. So you can choose if you like."
I ponder this and look at the list of movies. Weighing each of my option and make a decision. Pointing at the list I say "I want to see that one."
Shelly follows my finger and nods her head. "Sure, I like it."
We walk up to the ticket window and Shelly says "Two for The Action Attack at 6:15." She hands the ticket sales boy her card.
Passing the tickets through the small hole, the ticket sales boy looks me and Shelly confused. Shelly takes the tickets and her card, ignoring the boy behind the window. Clasping my hand she walks us to the ticket checker and hands over the newly purchased tickets. The ticket checker says "Theater fourteen is down the hall to the right."
Smiling at her we pass by and head to the concession stand. "I'm buying so get anything you want," says Shelly as we join the line.
"Really? Are you sure?" She nods and I smile. Stepping up to the cashier I say "Can I get a bag of Sour Patch Kids, a bag of Sour Skittles, a small bag of popcorn, empty, and a small Coca Cola?"
The lady behind the counter nods while sighing. Shelly steps up and says "I'll just have a medium lemonade."
The lady places my candy on the counter and walks to the back of the stand. She fills the cups and grabs an empty popcorn bag. "That will be nineteen-fifty." Shelly places her card on the counter and grabs her drink. I place the bags of candy inside the popcorn bag and grab my drink. Using my other hand I place the popcorn bag between two fingers holding my soda. After returning her card to her wallet Shelly takes my hand and we walk to theater fourteen.
