*A Few Months Later*
I wiped away a few tears of frustration as I tried to complete the geometry quiz. Why the hell was I crying?, I asked myself. Oh, I knew why, because this math crap is hard.
Knowing I was one of the last people taking the quiz, I felt all eyes on me. I heard impatient sighs and people tapping their feet. I could almost hear their thoughts: It's just a quiz, why is she taking so freakin' long?
'Cause I'm a dumbass, I replied to them mentally.
The bell rang and I threw my pencil down on the desk. I turned my quiz in to Ms. Rice and the rest of the class filed out. "No wonder she dropped out...", I heard Summer snicker. She was lucky we were in front of a teacher or I would of said something.
I handed the teacher the paper and she looked it over. She gave me a raised eyebrow. "You're not going to finish, Miss Mata?"
I shook my head. "I give up.", I confessed.
Ms. Rice frowned. "So, you held up the whole class only to not complete the quiz?"
"Well, maybe if you actually taught more. And explained stuff better...", I said, beginning to get annoyed with her.
"Excuse me?", she asked, clearly not appreciating my tone.
I turned to walk over to the door. "What a bitch...", I muttered under my breath. I slammed the classroom door before she had a chance to speak.
Rachel and Ethan were waiting for me by the door.
"You okay?", Rachel asked with a sympathetic smile.
I nodded, even though I wasn't.
We walked over to our lockers. I was still sharing a locker with Rachel, being to lazy to find my own.
Bryan came over, saying hi to Ethan and Rachel, then greeting me.
"Hey, Ava.", he said with a smile.
"Hi...",I said quietly.
His smile faded as he studied me for a minute. "You've been crying..."
"Well..."
"That's wasn't a question, more like a statement."
"How did you know?"
"Your eyes are red. Now, you've either been smoking a decent amount of weed or you've been crying. And you don't seem like the type to smoke. So, dimelo. What's the problem?"
Aw, dimelo. Geoffrey always says that to me. I sighed. "Geometrey...",
"Oh, are you having trouble? 'Cause I'm amazing at math..."
"Yeah, I've been struggling a lot lately."
"Need a tutor?", he asked.
"That'd be great.", I said gratefully. I honestly would try anything so I could pass this class. I wasn't trying to fail my last year of high school. "So I'll see you...?"
"Tonight? I mean, if you're not busy..."
"Oh, no that's fine." I wasn't really going to be busy for the rest of the month. Geoffrey was down in Miami, doing some publicity stuff. I really didn't know exactly how long he'd be gone. He hasn't really been calling lately either and I was beginning to question his reasons for being there, but I kept my feelings to myself so I didn't start any trouble...or prove Rachel right.
"Alright, well, I'll see you tonight then, at around five. In the courtyard. Sound Good?"
"Sounds great.", I said.
"Okay, see you then.", he said, flashing another grin and walking away.
Wow, even the back of him was attractive...
I quickly shook my head of those thoughts. But not as attractive as my Geoffrey...

*Prince Royce's POV*
I threw myself down on the bed in the hotel room. I had such a long day and I was tired as hell. I pulled my phone out my pocket and checked my notifications. I had a missed call from Ava, but I decided I would call her back later. Right now, I was too tired and I needed to take a nap.
I heard a knock at the door and reluctantly got up to answer it. I opened the door to a smiling young girl. I remembered her name as Amanda and she worked for the record company.
"Hello, Mr. Prince Royce.", she said, giving me the most blinding smile.
"Hi, Amanda...can I ask what you're here for?"
"Oh, I just came to check on you make sure you're okay and all..."
"Well, I'm fine. So, you don't have to worry anymore.", I said, starting to close the door.
She put a hand out to stop me and leaned against the door. "But...I was wondering...are you busy tonight?"
"Not really...why?"
"Oh, I was just wondering if you'd like to go to dinner with me?", she said twirling her overly-died, red hair. She was batting her mascara-clumped eyelashes furiously. I wanted to roll my eyes so bad. She was trying too hard to be sexy.
"You seem like a sweet girl and all...but I have a girlfriend.", I said.
Her facial expression changed. "You do? Is she with you now?" She looked over my shoulder as if there'd be someone in the room with me, when I obviously came alone.
I shook my head. "Nah, she's back in New York."
"Oh, well..maybe we could have dinner to discuss... business."
"Business..." I thought for a minute. She clearly wanted to do more than business but if I kept my priorities straight nothing would happen, right?
"Alright.", I said, giving in. "I'll go to dinner with you. But it's strictly business."
"Oh, thank you. Trust me, you won't regret it.", she said, practically skipping away.
Just be careful, I told myself, as long as you don't get drunk it should be fine.
But I was beginning to think that wasn't the case.

*Avadele's POV*
I groaned and decided to try calling Geoffrey again.
I had attempted to call him earlier but the call went straight to voicemail. I was calling to let him know Bryan was going to help me out. I had to be honest before he thought I was cheating or something.
I dialed his number again and waited as the phone rang.
After a while someone answered.
"Hello?"
But it wasn't Geoffrey who answered. It was a female voice.
