Chapter 30- Telling Rachel

*Avadele's POV*

"What the hell?", Rachel said to me in a shocked tone as he shoved her phone in my face. "Look at this."

"What?"

"This.", she said, pointing to the words on the screen.

My eyes scanned over what she was talking about. She was on one Of those celebrity gossip sites. I rolled my eyes, she told me she was looking for prom dresses. I read the headline:

Bachata Star Prince Royce Seen Leaving Local Babies-R-Us.

There was a grainy photo of Geoffrey at the bottom and he was, in fact, in a Babies-R-Us parking lot. I immediately face palmed. God, he was an idiot.

"There must be a little Baby Royce on the way. I wanna know what poor girl he impregnated to have to do that.", She ate a Dorito. "So I can question her stupidity."

"She may not be all that stupid...", I said defensively. "She could've just made a stupid decision."

Rachel looked at me questionably. "Why are you defending whatever girl that got knocked up by your ex-man?"

"'Cause..."

"'Cause... why?", she asked, waiting for more of an answer.

I thought for a moment. "Ill show you.", I said, starting to take off my baggy sweatshirt.

"Woah, woah, woah. Stripping never solved anything.", She said.

I wanted to laugh a little. "Just give me a minute." I removed the sweatshirt to reveal my tank top as stood up.

Rachel still seemed confused. "I still don't get it."

I stood to the side to reveal the barely noticeable bulge forming near the bottom of my stomach as Rachel looked on in shock.

"No...you're not serious..."

I nodded shyly. "Yeah... I kinda am."

"Are you guys back together?", she asked.

"No, it was kind of a one night stand type of thing...", I said, sort of embarrassed.

She put her head in her hands for a minute. "No lo puedo creer." She said as she shook her head.

I sighed. "Well, you're gonna have to. A little baby Geoffrey is gonna be brought into this world whether you like it or not.", I said siting back down.

"So it's a boy?"

"Yeah."

She looked down for a minute. "I take it you're not going to prom with me and Ethan, then?"

I shook my head. "Sorry."

"But you're gonna be at the graduation, right?"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world...but I have to say that you're taking this better than I thought."

"I told you two to stop makin' babies." She shrugged. "But what's done is done. My best friend is pregnant, what can I do?" She was quiet for a minute. "But I am the godmother, aren't I?

I laughed. What was I gonna do with her?

"You gotta be more careful.", I said as I confronted Geoffrey over what Rachel showed me today.

"I honestly wasn't thinking straight. I'm in daddy mode. It won't happen again."

"Good. Now, back to the matter at hand. We need a name." We had been trying to come up with a name for the baby ever since we found out it was a boy but we couldn't seem to agree on one.

"I don't know..", Geoffrey said with a sigh. "This baby stuff is hard work."

"Says the guy who isn't carrying life in his stomach for another 6 months."

"No es facill yo lo se/se que es difcil ser mujer", he sang, pulling me in for a hug. "But in all honesty I think you can do it Ava. Together or not, Ill be there every step of the way."
