Chapter 27- Losing...Again.

"¿Qué?"

'Mom, Dad. do you guys understand? I'm pregnant. Van a ser abuelos.", I said.

It took all my strength to hold back my tears as I heard them hang up.

So it was back to being Rejected by my family again. Back to being cut off. The one

Chance i had with reconnecting with my parents, with my sister, with my family...all down the drain. At least i still had some people to go to, like Christina. I really appreciated her taking me in.

But I think Christina knew I was pregnant all along. After Annabelle was asleep, I was planning to ask her but she beat me to it.

"You know you shouldn't be eating this late. You're gonna get the baby in a bad eating schedule.", She said as she noticed me eating a bowl of ice cream.

"So, you knew?", I asked quietly.

"'Course I did.", She said as she sat next to me.

I looked down at my bowl and sighed. "I don't think I'm ready."

Christina nodded. "You probably aren't. I was twenty when I got pregnant with Annabelle and I wasn't even ready."

"It's just so hard..."

"Does he know?", she asked suddenly.

"Who Geoffrey?"

"Yeah."

I shook my head sadly. "No."

Christina sighed and looked at me sympathetically. "You should tell him. well, you need to tell him."

"I will... at some point."

-A Few Weeks Later-

*Prince Royce's POV*

I gave a sigh when I threw a pile of mail on the coffee table. Just when I was starting to

accept the fact that Ava and I weren't getting back together, her mail came. Now, I had to go bring it to her. Great.

"Why you lookin' all depressed?", Asked Jerry from across the room. He was still in town for a few days, so he was hanging out at the apartment.

I held up a few envelopes. "Her mail came."

Jerry seemed to understand. "Damn..."

"Now I gotta bring this to her..."

As I was getting ready to go I noticed one of the letters was from the hospital. as much as I wanted to be nosy, I cleared those thoughts from my mind. We weren't together anymore, just acquaintances , so why did I have to worry.

"Good luck.", chimed Jerry before i went "Hopefully she doesn't rip your head off."

I left and made my way down the stairs and almost stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Ava coming up.

"Ava?"

She looked up. "Oh, hi.", She said quietly. She looked sad and out of place. "I came to give you something.", She held a letter out to give to me. "Don't open it until you get inside though."

"Alright.", I said, taking the letter. He handed her her mail. "This came today."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome.", I said.

"I...uh...i guess I should get going now.", she turned. "Ill see you whenever..."

"Yeah, whenever...", I repeated, watching her walk away. I was some what relived. That was easier than I thought.

"Wow, that was quick.", commented Jerry once I came back.

"She was coming to give me something so she was already here and we bumped into each other. ..", I held up the letter she gave me.

"Was it awkward?"

"Well, a little. We didn't say much.", I said as I opened the envelope.

"Well, I guess...", Jerry was speaking but I didn't really hear him. Everything seemed to slow down as I saw the contents of the envelope. It was an ultrasound photo. Why the hell would she give me this?

"Wait, man. Where you goin' off to?", I heard Jerry yell when I started taking off down the stairs.

I made it outside just in time. Ava was just starting up her car.

"Ava?"

SHe looked up and turned the car back off. "Yeah?", she asked as she rolled the window down.

"What is this all about?", I asked, holding up the picture.

She bit her lip nervously for a minute. "I just thought you'd like to see your future son or daughter.", She said.

"My...what?"

She looked down at her stomach and attempted to give a smile. "It's yours, Geoffrey." She rolled her window up and drive away.

And once she drove away I felt like I had just lost everything. I guess you don't know what you have until you lose it...for the second time.
