*Avadele's POV*

"No."

Geoffrey looked at me, confused. "No?"

I sighed. "I just can't do it..."

He stared at me for a minute. "Are-you're serious?"

I nodded.

He shook his head. "I just thought..."

"You thought what? You thought that 'cause you're Prince Royce I'd come crawling back to you? You thought that since you're...you, that'd you'd get your way?"

He opened his mouth in protest but quickly closed it. I could tell he thought I was right. "It was a mistake, Ava. I thought about you the whole time I was gone..."

"The whole time?"

He nodded.

"So, when you were fucking that Amanda chick, you thought about me? When you ignored my calls, you thought about me? Gimme a break, Geoffrey. I know you're used to getting your way but that's not gonna happen with me."

Before he could answer, I slammed the door. I knew if he spoke again, Id start crying.

I burst into tears anyway, though. I slid down against the wall and burst into tears.

"Ava?", I heard Christina call from the end of the hallway.

"Yes?"

"Who was at the door?", she asked as he came to sit down next to me.

"I said it was no one important...", I sniffled. God, that was the most pathetic answer ever.

"If they weren't that important, why are they worth your tears?"

I didn't say anything and continued to cry. 'Cause he is important to me, I thought. I just don't want anyone to know.

It's not like I wanted to turn him down. I just didn't want to take the risk of him cheating again. I had to admit I was being selfish because I knew I couldn't handle to get my heart broken by my best friend again.

I got ready for school as usual, and I honeslty still didn't feel like going.

I waited outside for Bryan to pick me up. Sure, I had the new found freedom to take my own car to school now but Bryan insisted on bringing me so he could keep an eye on me. I honestly appreciated how much he helped me over the past few days. I couldn't even begin to think of a way to make it up to him.

I saw his car pull up.

"Hey, you doin' any better?", he asked as I got in the car. I could tell by the tone in his voice that he was concerned.

I didn't want to worry him any more than he already was so I have him a little smile. "I'm alright."

He studied me, not seeming completely convinced. "Are you sure?"

I nodded. "Mhmm."

"Okay...", he said with an uncertainty in his voice while he started up the car.

Don't worry about me, You've already done enough of that.

The day went by relatively fast and well. Summer didn't give me any problems and Ethan and Rachel weren't as all over each other as they usually were. I actually found myself enjoying it a little.

"Bye. ill see you tomorrow.", I said, giving Rachel a hug before Bryan and I left.

"Yeah, oh but I can't go to the mall with you tonight. Ethan's cousin is getting married and his family really wants to meet me. I'm really sorry."
