I felt the arms pull me away from Summer. "What's going on you guys?" It was Bryan.
Summer was panting heavily. I did a little bit a damage to her, a few scratches here and there, but nothing major. She pointed a finger at me. "She just came and attacked me out of nowhere!"
"You should learn to keep your mouth shut.", I said calmly.
Summer began to speak but Bryan put his hand up to stop her. "Please...I don't wanna hear anymore."
"But-"
"Summer, just go.", said Bryan, calmly but firmly.
An annoyed Summer huffed and stormed off, leaving me and Bryan alone.
"Ava, why are you here?", Bryan asked me.
"I was trying to figure out how to get home.", I mumbled.
"You need a ride then?"
"Nah, I can just walk..."
"Ava, I insist."
I honestly didn't really want to walk home. Especially if I was alone. "Okay..."
Bryan smiled. "Okay, my cars right around there." He pointed to a green Honda Civic.
I smiled faintly. "We have the same car."
"Really?"
"Yup, except mine is in black."
"Aw, we have so much in common.", he said in a obnoxiously girly voice.
I laughed as he motioned for me to get in the car.
All of a sudden Bryan burst out laughing.
"What?", I asked, not understanding what was going on."
After his laughter died down he said, "You totally beat her ass."
"Really?"
"Yeah, you got some hands girl."
I blushed. My first fight and I won. "Thanks."
The rest of the ride was silent for a while, except when I had to give him directions. After we were on main road for the while, he came out and said, "You know, I respect your decision, Ava."
I was confused. "What do you mean?"
We pulled into the parking lot of my apartment complex. After he shut the car off he turned to look at me. "I hope you know that it's no secret you dropped out."
"It's not?" Damn.
He shook his head. "Nope. And I'm not gonna lie when I say you've been getting a lot of slack for it too. Not many people agree with you. But I don't see why their judging you at all. They don't know what type of situation you're in, they don't know why you chose to do what you did. It's not fair to judge someone like that, you feel me?"
I nodded.
"That's what I meant. You probably had a valid reason for dropping out and I respect that.", he said.
I smiled. "Thanks."
"No problem."
"And thanks for the ride too."
"It was nothing.", he said. "If you ever need anything just lemme know, okay?"
"Alright.", I said with another smile.
He smiled back. "See you later, Ava."

I made my way upstairs. It was pretty late and I hoped Geoffrey wasn't too distraught.
