*Prince Royce's POV*

I felt so bad for Ava.

She was at my place today, updating me on the latest in the pregnancy. She sat there on the couch looking so miserable. It was only the middle of July, so she was four months pregnant. That means she had five more months like this ahead. Worst part was today was her birthday. I could tell she'd rather be anywhere else than here.

I had went out in an attempt to find something to make today at least a little special. But no luck.

I locked the door behind me and walked over to her. "How you doin'?"

She groaned. "I feel all bloated and stuff."

I sighed, knowing I was partially responsible for this. "I'm sorry."

She tried to smile a bit. "It's not entirely your fault. I was angry, you were drunk. Stuff happens. I guess we have to make the most out of it. At least I graduated and all."

I tried to see her reasoning. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

She smiled, knowing I understood. "But, can you-?", She stopped mid-sentence and her eyes got wide. She ran off to the bathroom.

I instantly felt worse. No matter what se said to try and make me feel batter, I was still gonna feel like crap. Why do all the bad things have to happen when I'm drunk? I sighed and waited for her to return.

Ava came back a few minutes later, looking a little pale. I noticed that her stomach was finally starting to show. Wow, I thought. That's my child in there. My son.

Ava sighed as she sat back down. "This nausea really sucks."

"I'm really sorry, Ava.", I told her again.

"It's fine, Geoffrey. I promise. Five more months to go... it seems like a while but I'm sure it'll fly by."

"I hope so." I said slowly. I used to always beat myself up when we were together about the littlest things. I felt completely horrible that I had done this to her. "Now, what were you saying?"

"I was gonna ask you to promise me something."

"What?"

She got serious for a minute. "Promise me that you'll love this baby with all your heart."

"Why wouldn't I?", I asked her, confused.

"Because... this wasn't the right way to conceive a child. We were angry and drunk, it was clearly a mistake. But once he's born... I don't want it to seem like a mistake. I just want our son to be loved like he was made under normal circumstances, you know?"

I nodded, understanding what she meant.

She leaned over to give me a hug. "I'm glad you understand, Geoffrey."

In that moment, when she was hugging me, I tried to make myself feel like it was the old days. But, of course, it wasn't the old days because back then we were together and carefree... Oh, and no one was pregnant.

*Avadele's POV*

I left Geoffrey's place later than I thought I would. I stayed a little later than expected. We just sat there and talked for a while.

That's when I realized that I couldn't hate him anymore. I didn't know if I was ready to forgive him for what he did yet but I was pretty damn close.

Geoffrey walked me to the door as I got ready to leave.

"I'm sorry it was so boring over here. I know it's your birthday and all.", He apologized.

"It's okay." Yes, today was my birthday but honestly I didn't care. I felt like crap, I wasn't trying to celebrate that. Being pregnant wasn't exactly the best way to spend your birthday.

Geoffrey gave me a hug. "Happy birthday, Ava.", He told me. He looked at me for a minute as he held me at arms length from him. "Te Amo."

"Geoffrey... We're not-"

He stopped me. "I know, I know. We're not together. We probably never will be. But that doesn't mean I still can't love you, Ava."

I thought long and hard as I drove back to Christina's. Just a year ago, Geoffrey and I were happily together in a hotel room. And only two days before that Anthony had raped me. That was something I had tried to erase from my memory but sometimes I still thought about it. It wasn't something I wanted to relive. I would never wish that upon anyone. It's crazy how much can happen in a year.

I pulled into the parking lot of the convenience store. This baby had been draining me so badly, I had to eat something within every hour.

I went inside, bought myself a sub and a drink, and left.

I was exiting the store when I heard a voice call me.

"Oye, Ava!"

I turned sound and groaned when I saw Mikey standing outside like a bum. He had a few of his friends, who I don't know, gathered around him.

"What do you want?", I asked him impatiently.

He stepped out from the shadows a bit and smirked. "Chill. A dude can't say hey to his ex novia and wish her a happy birthday?"

"Damn, bro. This your ex?", one of his stupid friends asked. The other two nodded in approval.

I rolled me eyes. How was I supposed to "chill" when the guy who had put his hands on me for two years was standing in front of me?

His eyes darted around nervously as he looked behind me. "Where's your boy at?"

It took me a minute to realize he was referring to Bryan. "He's not here right now." I honestly didn't know where Bryan was at all. I hadn't seen him since before graduation.

"Oh..." he seemed relieved. He shoved his hands in his pockets. "So, how you been?"

"Fine until now. And you? Found any new girls to beat up on?"

He held up a finger to his friends."Gimme a minute."

He pulled me over to the side. "Ava... can't you just let it go?"

I laughed a little. Was he serious? "You're real funny.", I said sarcastically.

"Ava..."

"What?", I asked, starting to turn around.

"Bro, she looks pissed. Maybe you should leave her alone?", one of his friends suggested. Hmm, okay. Maybe they weren't as stupid as I thought.

Mikey didn't say anything. He just stood there staring at me in shock.

"Is something wrong?", I asked, waving my hand in front of his face.

"Umm... ", he nodded toward my stomach.

Oh, I forgot he didn't know. "Yeah, I'm kinda sorta pregnant."

"Daaaaamn.", I heard his friends yell in unison in the background.

"Who's is it?", he asked curiously. "You busy homey hoppin' or...?"

Why was everyone concerned on who the father was? "You don't need to know. But I'll give you a hint. I hope he can beat the crap outta you just like his father did."

It was sorta late once I made it to Christina's but I was still greeted with open arms.

"Ava!", Annabelle came running up to me for a hug. 'Happy birthday!", she squealed.

I laughed and hugged her back. "Aw thank you, Annie."

"Ava!", I heard a familiar little girls voice and Isa, Christina's niece, ran out.

"Oh, wow, Isa!", I opened my arms for a hug. "It's been a while, Hun."

Christina came over. 'Happy birthday, Ava. I know you didn't want to make a big deal but the girls insisted."

"It's fine, Christina. Don't worry."

Annabelle took my hand and led me over the the kitchen. "Ava, come see." She brought me over to a box.

"We tried making you a cake... but that didn't turn out so well.", she told me with a giggle. "So we bought you one. It's an ice cream cake."

"Annie insisted that we get an ice cream cake. She said it was your favorite.", Said Christina with a smirk. "Don't you think it's a coincidence that you two have the same exact favorite?"

I laughed as Annabelle smiled mischievously. "Yup. A coincidence alright."

"Oh and I almost forgot!" Annabelle ran into her room. I heard rummaging like she was looking for something. A few minutes later she emerged with a card. "Here you go, Ava."

It was a handmade card. One of those cute construction paper ones that kindergarteners tend to make.

"That's me, you, mommy and Isa.", She said pointing to the people she drew on the front.

"Well, I think we have a little artist on our hands.", I said tapping her on the nose.

She smiled proudly, glad that I liked her picture. I wasn't lying either, she had some serious skills for a five year old.

I opened up the card and saw Annabelle's handwriting inside the card. Along with drawings of a bunch of flowers.

ᕼᗩᑭᑭY ᗷᖇTᕼᗪᗩY ᗩᐯᗩ

Annabelle pointed to the words. "I wrote that all on my own with no help."

I smiled to myself, I could tell because the word "birthday" was missing the "i". But I was so happy that she cared that much to make this.

"Thank you so much.", I said, hugging her.

Isa stood there, sort of shuffling her feet around.

"What's wrong?", I asked her, concerned.

"I feel kinda bad 'cause I didn't had time I make anything.", She admitted.

I gave a sympathetic smile and pulled her into the hug. "It's okay, Isa. You're here and it's great to see you. I just wanted to be happy today and I got what I wanted."

* * *

Later, after we ate and Annabelle was asleep I decided to paint Isa's nails in an attempt to make her feel better.

"There you go. They should be dry in a bit"

Isa admired her nails. "Thanks."

"No problem. Just be careful, you may mess them up.", I said as I got up to put the nail polish away.

"Hey, Ava?"

"Hmm?"

"You're his secret angel aren't you?"

I sat back down and gave her a confused look. "What do you mean?"

"Prince Royce. I saw an interview today and he said...here lemme just show you." She carefully pulled her phone out of her pocket so she didn't mess her nails up. She typed something in, clicked on a few things and handed it to me. "Just watch it."

A video of Geoffrey and some girl popped up. She was interviewing him. The questions seemed to be dragging on for a while and Isa seemed to notice.

"Just skip to 5:40.", she told me.

I did as she said and skipped to that point in the video.

The girl spoke. "So, Prince. We know you're definitely a hit with all the ladies out there." At this he smirked a little. The girl continued speaking. "And we're curious... is there any special girl in your life right now?"

He thought for a minute. "We'll technically I'm 'single' but there is someone... "

"Oh really? Wanna tell us more?"

He smiled a little. "I really care about her. But I'm not sure if she feels the same way about me anymore. We've been through a lot together and, I'm not gonna lie, no one can replace that. And now she's given me one of the best things he could ever give me...shes always gonna have a special place in my heart. She's my angelito.'

"Ooh, does this special little lady have a name?"

He laughed softly. "Yeah, she does. But she doesn't like to be in the spotlight, so I'd rather not say."

"Oh, we understand. She's your secret angelito then, huh?"

Geoffrey smiled faintly. "Yeah, my secret angel."

The girl smiled at him then looked back down at her phone. "Okay, next question. If you had to choose-"

I cut the video and handed the phone back to Isa.

She looked at me. "Well?"

"Well, what?"

"He was taking about you wasn't he?"

I nodded. "I think so. "

"I mean, it makes sense. I put two and two together. You two are broken up and he's missing you. And 'the best gift you could ever give him'?" she gestured to my stomach. "I may only be thirteen but I'm no idiot."

"Yeah. That's does make sense."

"Alright, Ava. Well I'm gonna go to sleep now."

"Night, Isa "

"Night."

I turned off the light and left the room. Christina was watching tv in the living room.

"Oh, hey, Ava. You you feelin'?"

I sighed as I sat down in the couch with her. "I've been better. "

"Yeah, pregnancy is a bitch. ", She said, sympathizing with me.

I nodded in agreement.

"You know, Annabelle wants you to name the baby Rose."

"Well, I don't think that name would really fit a boy but..." I laughed and thought for a moment. "We're you scared, Christina?"

"What to have the baby? Hell yeah I was scared."

"No, I meant to be a mom. We you scared you wouldn't be good enough?"

"Yeah, I thought all the time about it. But I guess it sorta comes naturally."

"Oh...", I trailed off, thinking about what she said.

"Don't worry, Ava. I'm sure you'll be a great mom. If you treat your son anything like you treat Isa and Annabelle, you'd be perfect."

I smiled at her reassuring words. "thanks, Christina."

I think that was the only time throughout the whole pregnancy where I didn't feel scared.

Prepare for a long ass authors note...

First off, I wanna tell you guys I'm sooo sorry for such a long wait. I moved and my mom forgot to call the cable company for wifi. So, I went over to my cousins house and turns out he was moving too. -.- so I couldn't publish this chapter until now so I tried to make it as long as possible. Plus school started yesterday.

Second, My cousin said to say hi to all you guys. And he said he's expecting to get at least one hi back because he's "just that awseome" -.- smh he's a 21 year old with no life pero lo Amo mucho. He's like an hermano to me 💓😝💓

Third, I love Prince Royce and all but have y'all actually took a good listen to "Darte Un Beso"? at first it sounds like a sweet little love song but it's kinda doubles as a pedophiles anthem, don't ya think? I mean "Pensar Como te pienso es un pecado/ mirar Como te miro esta prohibido/ tocarte Como quiero Es un delito..." Yeah, just think about that ... 😏

Did this chapter suck ? be honest. Honesty is the best policy 😶

Ah, well. Lo siento for the wait once again. Ill try and update more soon. Only a few chapters left. (I know it kills me inside too. 😓)

Please vote, comment and check out my other works. ^_^
