Chapter 5 - Soo-Ri and Kai Moment

Soo-Ri's POV

I woke up and went for a shower. And as I finished, I got dressed up into my school uniform.

I went downstairs and saw Kai setting up the cameras.

"You're already doing that?" I asked.

Kai turned to me and nodded.

"Yeah, setting these up. To check everywhere." he said.

"Um....Kai, how long are you up?" I asked.

"Since 5 in the morning." he replied.

"You did? You must tired." I said.

"It's alright. I'm used to it." he said.

I hummed into response.

"Ready for school?" he asked.

I nodded.

Kai got down on his stool and grabbed his keys.

"Let's go." he said.

I nodded and followed him.

~At school~
I was about to go out, until Kai caught my wrist.

"Don't go out yet." he said.

I looked at him confused.

"I need to check the surroundings." he said.

I nodded and he walked out.

Out of the window, I saw lots of girls coming out of the school, but the school guards were blocking the way.

That's when Kai suddenly knocked on my door. Probably signaling me to come out.

I stepped out of car and slowly stood beside with Kai.

"Who's that handsome guy with Soo-Ri?"

"He's sure is handsome."

I heard the girls rambled.

Kai suddenly grabbed my wrist. That made me look at him.

"Let's go." he said.

I nodded and walked. With Kai following behind me.

"All right, everyone! Everyone inside!" the guard exclaimed.

Kai walked me to school, until I saw Kristy.

"Soo-Ri!"

She was about to come up to me, but Kai pulled me behind him.

"Kai, she's my best friend." I said.

He nodded and let me go.

I walked up to Kristy and she brought me into a hug.

"I heard about it. I shouldn't have left you." Kristy said.

I shook my head at her.

"Ani, it's okay. And I'm glad that you left, because if you didn't, you'll be the next target." I said.

Kristy smiled.

"But, I'm glad you're okay." she said.

Then she looked at Kai.

"Who's he?" she whispered.

I turned over my shoulder and looked. Kai was standing there.

"His name is Kai. And...my bodyguard." I replied.

Kristy suddenly grinned. "He's cute."

I rolled my eyes at her.

I turned to Kai and started to introduced Kristy.
