Chapter 9

Soo-Ri's POV
"KAI!" I shouted.

Suddenly he barged into my room with a gun in his hand. He started to check around my room.

"Umm...Kai." I said.

"The close is clear." he said.

"Kai, I called you for a reason. And I didn't even press the button." I stated.

"Oh...Um...so what do you need?" he asked.

I picked up my homework and showed it to him.

"You want me to do your homework?" he asked.

"Aniyo! I don't get the math problem." I said, pouting.

"Eh? That's all?" he asked, confused.

"Mmmm." I responded.

"Let me see." He took my paper and looked at it.

"You did this wrong." he said.

"I did?" I asked.

He nodded and started to help me with math problem.

"See...you need to cross out the 'x' here, since there's none left." he said.

I nodded.

"Get it now?" he asked.

"Yeah. Thanks." I replied

Kai chuckled at that.

"Kai, can I ask you something?" I asked.

"What is it?" He asked back.

"Well....Um..." I trailed off.

He looked at me to continue.

"Um....I know it's not my business, but it's been in my mind a lot." I said.

"Well, just ask." he said.

"Well...why did you become a bodyguard?" I asked.

Kai hesitated at that.

Then there was a awkward slience between us.

"That's personal." he replied.

I looked down on the floor.

"Minhae, I shouldn't ask you that." I mumbled.

I heard him moved from the chair as he got up.

"It's okay. It's getting late. You should be going to bed." he said.

I nodded and he left my room..

I knew I shouldn't ask that question. I thought.

Kai's POV
~Dream~
"Jongin! Run!" Dad shouted.

I didn't run, but my Mom dragged me and my sisters into the forest.

"Eomma! What about Appa?!" Jieyon exclaimed.

"Appa will be okay. You three stay here." Mom left us in the forest and went to get Appa.

"Noona, I'm scared." I whimpered.

"It's all right, Jongin-ah. We'll be okay." said Joo-Ri.

I nodded.

That's when we heard two gun shots.

"JAEJOONG!!!!"

We heard Mom screamed. Then another gun shot was heard.

"Eomma!" I cried.

"Come on, let's go." said Jiyeon.

"But what about Appa and Eomma?" Joo-Ri asked.

"They said to keep moving." Jiyeon replied.

Jiyeon carried me as we ran, until we were surrounded.

"Get the girls. We're going to have some fun."

The bad guys smirked.

"Jongin, run." said Jiyeon.

I didn't want to, but I was suddenly all tied up.

"Let their little brother watch his sisters getting raped."

My eyes widen at that.

I couldn't do anything, being all tied up. They started to rape my tow older sisters, hearing them screaming.

Screaming for help. I couldn't do anything.

Then Joo-Ri looked at me, with sorry.

"Kill them after you're done."

"NO!" I shouted.

"Shut up, kid!" With that I got hit.

They shot my two older sisters, right in front of me.

"NOONA!!!!!"

I'm crying so badly now.

"So, what to do with you?"

I was afraid. I closed my eyes, waiting for them to shoot until, I heard a gun shot.

I opened my eyes and saw a Man.

He started to fight the others and after they fought. The bad guys ran away.

The man cut off the ropes off me.

"Hey, Kid. You're okay?" he asked.

I didn't answer him.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." he said.

I started crying again.

"I'm going to bury your sisters, then I'll take you with me and I'll take care of ya, okay." he said.

He walked away and started to bury my sisters.

"Let's go." said the man.

He held out his hand but I denied it.

"Don't be scared okay. I, Min-Jun, will take care of ya." he said.

I nodded and took his hand. Then he carried me.

"When you grow up, I'm going to teach you how to be a bodyguard. Just like your father." he said.

I woke up, sweating.

That dream....it never came up like that.

I was only 9 years old.

I swear...I'll get my revenge. I know that my family won't come back, but...I just need to do something.
