Chapter 12

Soo-Ri's POV
I went to the grocery store and got some eggs. Paid for it and then walked out of the store.

I didn't realize it was already dark. I should've waited for Kai.

Aish, Soo-Ri. You're really a PABO. I scolded myself.

I walked through the path and covered myself from my jacket. It gets cold at night.

Then suddenly, I heard footsteps.

I turned around and saw no one.

Then when I turned back. Kai was suddenly in front of me.

I was about to scream but it covered my mouth.

"Shhh." he said.

I gulped at that.

Then he looked behind me.

"Looks like you have a stalker." he whispered.

I slightly turned and saw a boy, around my age. When I saw him...he hid behind the pillar. Even though we can still see him.

Then I felt something warm on my hands.

It was Kai's hand.

"Act normal." he said.

I nodded and we started walking.

I was so scared, still hearing the footsteps getting closer to us.

"Soo-Ri. I have this weird idea, but follow me okay." Kai said.

I nodded.

Kai turned to me, held my cheeks and smashed his lips onto mine.

I was shocked....

Kai's POV
I don't know what I was thinking. But this is the only idea I have.

As I kissed Soo-Ri on the lips, I opened my eyes and glared at the stalker. He flinched and left us.

I pulled away from the kiss.

"He's gone." I said.

Soo-Ri came back into her senses. I held her hand again and we walked home.

Soo-Ri's POV
We got home...safely.

I put the eggs on the counter and Kai sat on the stool.

I felt guilty for what I did.

"Kai...um....Minhae." I said.

Kai looked at me to continue.

"You didn't say anything, so I just left. I should have waited for you." I said, crying.

Kai suddenly pulled me into a hug. Again....I was shocked.

"It's okay." he said, stroking my hair.

"But----" Kai cut me off.

"Just don't do it again, arasso. I don't like seeing you hurt." he said.

Tears started to fall on my cheek. Kai hugged me for a while as I cried.

"Let it all out, Soo-Ri." he said.

~2 days later~
Everything has been going well. Kristy and I have been going to school, and guess what! We have graduated.

I saw my Dad and I went up to him for a hug.

"Congrats, sweetie." he said.

I giggled and pulled away.

"Thanks, Appa." I said.

"Congrats to you too, Kristy." Dad said.

"Thank you." Kristy said.

I smiled at that.

Then suddenly we heard gun shooting.

Kristy and I flinched.

"Get down!" Dad said.

Everyone was running around, screaming.

Kristy and I held onto each other, protecting each other as well.

"Get into the car." Dad said.

We nodded.

We were about to go until Kai and Sehun pulled us.

"Don't go in there." Sehun said.

"But---"

Then suddenly, the car exploded.

Kai covered me into his arms.

"Seriously...do they have to ruin the graduation?" Sehun said.

We heard more gun shooting.

"Everyone! Get to a safe place!" Kris said.

"Eh? Since when he got here?" Kristy asked.

"We covered the whole area." Sehun replied.

"Look out!" I screamed.

A bomb was about to explode but Kai grabbed me and we rolled over.

Sehun and Kristy went to the other side.

Kai was ono top of me. The same feeling.

"Come on." Kai said.

He got up and helped me.

We both ran and saw Dad.

"Appa!" I shouted.

He turned around and saw me.

"Kai! Get back to headquarters." he shouted.

Kai nodded.

"Wait...Appa!" I screamed.

Kai already dragged me away.

"Kai, wait. What about my Dad?" I asked.

"He'll be alright. Your Dad has done this before." Kai replied.

We were running until we bumped into them. By mean 'them.' It's the people who have been following.

"Hand over the key, Soo-Ri."

Kai pulled me behind him.

"You want her? Come and get it!" Kai said.

They smirked.

They pulled out their guns and started shooting. Kai and I took cover.

Kai peeked through and shoot.

"Dang it. We're out numbered." Kai mumbled.

Kai took out his phone.

"Hyung. We're in trouble. I need back up at the 84th Street. It's near the park. I need one of you guys to take Soo-Ri to safety." he said.

My eyes widen at that. Then he hung up the phone.

"Kai, I won't let you do this." I said.

Kai turned to me.

"I have to, Soo-Ri. I need to protect you." he said.

I shook my head.

"Ani." I said.

"Kai."

We both turned around and it was DO.

"Hyung, take Soo-Ri back to headquarters." Kai said.

"Got it." DO said.

"Aniyo." I complained.

"Soo-Ri, please coorperate with me." Kai said.

"Ani----" Kai cut me off by his lips again.

Then he pulled back.

"Hyung, go now."
DO nodded and took me.
