Chapter 24

Kai's POV
We're at the Headquarters, safe and sound. Kristy and Soo-Ri are in the room with us.

"How do they know that we're there?" Sehun asked.

"I think it's obvious that they know Soo-Ri's movements." Min-Jun Hyung replied.

"My movements?" Soo-Ri asked.

Min-Jun nodded.

"Soo-Ri, you usually go shopping on Saturdays with Kristy. You need to change that." he said.

Soo-Ri nodded.

"And....I have a feeling that they going to plan something." Min-Jun said.

"What?" I asked.

Min-Jun looked towards at Soo-Ri and Kristy.

"Sehun, take Kristy and Soo-Ri out for some hot chocolate. I need to talk to Kai alone." he said.

Sehun nodded.

They both walked out but, Soo-Ri stopped and looked at me.

"He'll be fine, Soo-Ri. Appa is not going to beat him up." Min-Jun said.

Soo-Ri sighed and nodded. She left the room, leaving me and Min-Jun.

"So, what are they planning?" I asked, taking a seat.

"I think they're planning to attack soon." he replied.

"How soon?" I asked again.

"Not so sure about that. But..." he trailed off.

I looked at him to continue. But Hyung pulled out of necklace?

"This is similar to Soo-Ri's necklace. The one she had on her right now, with her father's key." he said.

"Let me guess, you want to me switch them." I said.

He nodded. "Once you switch them, Kai. bring the real one to me...so I can lock it in my office."

"But, should Soo-Ri know about this?" I asked.

"No." he replied.

I sighed at that.

"Just switch the necklaces when she's asleep." he said as he handed me the necklace.

I nodded and took it.

"And by the way, Kai...."

I looked up at him.

"Here." He handed me a box? Once I opened it....it was a ring.

"What's this about?" I asked, confused.

Min-Jun laughed.

"Don't you think I don't know, Kai. I can see the two of you have fallen in love with each other." he said.

I was shocked about that and I looked down blushing

"You two make it so obvious. But anyway....I approve you to marry Soo-Ri." he said.

I gulped at that. I really thought I was getting scolded by him.

"Take your time on the prospal, Kai. And remember about the conversation that we discuss." he said.

I nodded. "Yes, sir."

Soo-Ri's POV
Kai and I went back home. I was just sitting on the couch, playing with my necklace that has my Father's key.

Just being dazed and all. Until Kai sat next to me.

"Is something on your mind, Soo-Ri?" he asked.

I sighed and kept on playing my neklace.

"Soo-Ri?"

"It's nothing, I just have these thoughts." I replied.

"What thoughts?" he asked.

"Just thoughts, Kai. It's nothing much really." I replied.

Kai just looked at me.

"I'm just tired." I said.

Kai suddenly pulled me into his arms. And he let me laid my head on his shoulder.

"Then sleep." he said.

I was shocked by his actions though.

I just closed my eyes and went sleep.

Kai's POV
Soo-Ri's asleep in my arms. It's my chance to replace the real necklace to the fake one.

I carefully took out the real necklace and replaced it with the fake one.

I put the real necklace in my pocket and carried Soo-Ri to her room.

She sleeps like a beauty.

I pecked her on lips and quickly ran out of the room. Yeah, still shy about it.
