Chapter 8

Soo-Ri's POV
I woke up as the sun was shining down brightly on my face. And I noticed that my left side was empty.

Kai must have woke up. I thought.

I started to blush when we slept into one bed together.

Aish....why did I do that? I thought.

But, this feeling is so strong. But....Kai's my bodyground and I can't fall for him.

I sighed and got up and did my routine.

After I got dress into my school uniform, I got out of my room.

I don't see Kai anywhere, but I decided to eat breakfast.

But, I saw something on the table.

I walked to it and.....

"He made breakfast?" I asked myself.

I took a bite and it was delious. As I ate it all, I put it on the sink and washed my plate.

Then I started to put on my shoes and walked out of the house.
That's when I saw a black car in front.

I arched my brow at that and walked forward to it.

I knocked on the window and the window rolled down.

"Kai?" I asked.

He smiled and shook his head.

"What took you so long?" he asked.

"Eh? I took my time. And did you stay here in the car?" I said.

"Ne, I didn't want to wake you. We better get going." he said.

I nodded and walked to the other side of the car and walked in.

Kai started the engine and drove to school.

"Kai." I said.

He didn't respond back.

"Um...Thanks for making breakfast this morning." I added.

He didn't repsond back. But I continued.

"And...don't push yourself okay. And about last night....I'm sorry that I startled you." I said.

No response....until....

"You're welcome, Soo-Ri." he said.

I looked at him and let him continue if he has anything else.

"And last night, it's okay. It's my job to protect you." he added.

I smiled at him again.

~School~
"Soo-Ri! Who's the cute guy you're with?" asked one of the school girls.

"EH! Erm...." I trailed off.

"Is he your boyfriend?" she asked.

"Eh! Um....a-a---" I got cut off by Kristy.

"Hey, give her a break. Come on, Soo-Ri." she said.

I looked down and followed her to class.

Kristy and I sat in our desk. I felt really embarrassed right now.

"Soo-Ri." Kristy said.

"What?" I asked.

"Your Dad said that I'm the next target." she replied.

I sighed and turned to her.

"I'm sorry, Kristy." I said.

"Hey, don't worry. I got Sehun as my bodyguard." she said.

"Wait....Sehun?" I asked.
She nodded.

Kai's POV
I leaned on my car and noticed Sehun was here as well.

"Hey, Hyung." he greeted.

I smiled and we gave each other a handshake.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Protecting my client. Kristy Wong." he replied.

"Soo-Ri's friend, huh." I said.

He nodded.

"Min-Jun Hyung assigned me to do it." he said.

I nodded.

"How's with Soo-Ri?" Sehun asked.

"She's doing fine, but she was scared last night though." I replied.

"Last night?" Sehun asked.

"I think she had a nightmare. So, she told me to sleep with her.." I replied.

"Mwoh? Kai, you do know that she's our boss's daughter." Sehun stated.

"I know, but she needs comfort." I said.

"You got a point there, but you two didn't do anything, right." Sehun said.

"Ani, why would you think that? I mean, Soo-Ri and I known each other for only 5 days." I said.

"You never know what might happen." Sehun said.

Soo-Ri's POV
It was the end of school and I met with Kai along the way. Kristy met Sehun as well.

"See you two later." I said.

"Bye, Soo-Ri." Kristy waved.

As for Sehun and Kai, they just gave each other a nod.

We left the school building.

As we got home, I went up to my room to do my homework.

"Soo-Ri."

I turned to Kai.

"If you need me, I'll be downstairs." he said.

I nodded with a smile on my face. Then I went to my room to get some studying done.
