Darius's POV:

I was now walking, more like running, in the empty streets of this city, when I heard a very familiar voice coming from an alley.

Rigel.

I peeked inside the alley and saw her with that douchebag, Max.

"What do you want Max?" She said annoyed.

"I needed to see you. I have somethings to tell you. I miss you, star. I miss us." He said grabbing her hand. I couldn't help but to feel jealous about it.

"Don't call me that." She said letting go of his hands.

"Look, I love you okay? You know that! And I know perfectly that you still love me too." He said and started to leaned closer to her and started to kiss her neck.

"St-stop!" She yelled.

"It doesn't seem like you want me to stop..." He started to kiss her harder and touching her, but she did everything she could to stop him.

She started to cry harder and kept on screaming: "Stop! Help me!"

He then tried to take her shirt off and that's when I had enough.

"Hey!" I called for his attention and he looked at me. When I approached him I punched him hard and he fell to the ground. "Don't you dare touch her again! Believe me, you will regret if you touch her or even talk to her!"

He stood up and punched me in the face. Then we started fighting and sometimes he punched me and sometimes I punched him.

"Darius, stop!" I heard Rigel cry.

What am I doing? I promised to myself that I would stop beating people up for Rigel, that I was going to change, for Rigel. And I wasn't doing that right now.

I quickly stood up and so did he.

"Can't you see it? You're just like me!" Max said putting a hand on his jaw.

"I'm nothing like you! Unlike you I didn't waste a girl like Rigel. I have no idea why you did what you did, but I appreciate it! Now I finally have a chance. I have been wanting to do this since ninth grade, and you know that. My wish finally came true. Thanks to you Max!" I said and I didn't care if Rigel heard me or not. I turned around and saw Rigel on the floor with her knees up to her chest.

"Hey, everything's going to be alright, okay?" She nodded.

I took her in my arms and she rested her head on my chest. She couldn't stop crying and I couldn't help but to feel guilty for what happened. I should have interrupted him as soon as I saw how uncomfortable she was with him.

"I'm sorry Rigel. I should have interrupted you before he started touching you!" I said feeling guilty.

"It's not your fault Darius! I should have never agreed on meeting him in that alley! I should have never dated him, period!" She said between sobs.

"Shhh. That guy is a douche. You're with me now. You're going to be alright! C'mon let's take you home." I said and I could feel her nodding her head on my chest.

Rigel's POV:

I am so glad Darius was there that night. I don't know what would happen if Darius didn't show up.

Max hasn't  bothered me anymore, I mean he was still in the same college as me but he didn't dare to say a word to me.

Nathan and Darius officially apologized to Sebastian and left him alone, but that was a long time ago, so Leah and I have officially forgave them, when we heard their explanations.

Everything felt normal again.

Since my father was in another country with Natalie, Nathan and I decided to throw a big party at our house. There were drinks, food, music and other stuff.

"Don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me. I said you're holding back, she said shut up and dance with me!" Leah sang out loud, but of course no one heard her. I could barely hear her, there was so much noise in the house. I'm surprised how the neighbors haven't called the police yet.

"This woman is my destiny. She said, ooh ooh, shut up and dance with me!" I sang back to her and we just spend the whole night dancing.

I woke up in my couch and took a look around the living room. Everything was upside down. There were plastic cups on the floor, empty bottles on the floor, fortunately nothing was broke, so that's a good thing.

I got up from the couch and saw Leah on the other couch sleeping like an innocent girl. I started walking towards my room but stopped when I saw it a bit opened.

That's odd, I always leave my room fully closed when we throw parties.

I walked in slowly and stopped when I heard an annoying voice, a very familiar annoying voice.

"Um- Don't you know how to knock? Can't you see we're having a moment here?" I looked at Amanda and saw her with Darius on my bed. With underwear. Only.

"Oh, I know how to knock! It's just that I'm not going to knock at my own door. You two are in my room. In my bed." I said.

"I don't care if this is your room. I was invited to this party, and so was my boyfriend. We're not leaving." She said pointing at Darius.

"Your boyfriend?" I asked her, but this time looking at Darius.

"No! Rigel it's not what you-" he started but I interrupted him.

"I don't care if you two are dating! If you want to be together, I'm not going to be an obstacle in your way." I paused and then continued. "Just like you said," I pointed at her. "The party was yesterday! Today is a new day, so get out of my house, now!" I said coldly and she started to get out of the bed.

"Get dressed first!" I told her and she obeyed. After a few minutes she was gone, finally.

"Rigel, this is not what you're thinking, we're not-" he started but I interrupted him again.

"Darius, you don't have to give me any explanations. You two can be together, I don't mind. Why would I, anyways? We're not dating, right?" I said and then left the house without believing what I just told him.
