Darius's POV:
"You heard that, didn't you?" I asked her.
"Pretty much. But I meant what I said." She said with a smile.
"Thanks." I said.
"You're welcome." She said and sat down on Caden's bed.
"Hey Rigel?" Caden called and she looked at him. "You're old enough to adopt a child, right?" He asked and she nodded her head. "Well, if you're old enough, why don't you adopt Jayden and I?" He asked and she froze.
"Caden, it doesn't work that way." She said slowly.
"Yes it does! I thought you liked us." He said and got up from his bed.
"Caden, I do! You know that!" Rigel cried.
"No you don't!" He cried and left the room.
"Rigel," I started but she interrupted me.
"Darius, I can't adopt him. I'm 23 years old, not 30. I live with my father and my brother. I'm still in college, I don't have conditions." She cried even harder.
"I know that Rigel. Okay? We'll work this out. I promise." I said sitting down next to her.
"How? He doesn't even want to see me!" She said placing her face in her hands.
"I'll talk to him, okay?" I asked her pulling her into a hug. She simply nodded her head and pulled apart.
"Thank you, Dazs." She mumbled and I smiled at her.
"You're welcome, star." I said and she looked at me with widen eyes, which really confused me.
I left the room and went to the living room where everybody was there, including Caden. He looked at me for a while but then turned his attention back to Jayden.
"Is Sasha in her office?" I asked Nathan.
"I think so, why?" He asked.
"I need to talk to her." I answered and he nodded her head.
I left the living room and went to her office.
*knock knock*
"Come in!" She said and I opened the door. "Darius, come in!" She said and I obeyed. "What can I help you with?" She asked and I sat down in one of her chairs.
"You're going to think I'm crazy when I ask you this." I said.
"Try me!" She said looking at her computer.
"Can someone book a kid from the orphanage?" I asked and she looked at me immediately. "I know this sounds a little weird but I was thinking if it was possible or not." I said.
"Technically it's not possible." She said and looked at the floor. "But I think I can make an exception." She said and I immediately looked at her.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes, but you have a limit." She said and I nodded my head. "You have five years to adopt Caden and Jayden." She said and I gave her a question look.
"How did you kn-" I started but she interrupted me.
"It was obvious that you were talking about Caden. But since Caden only leaves with Jayden, you had to include Jayden in the adoption. Am I right?" She asked and I nodded my head. I got up from my seat and hugged her.
"Thank you Sasha." I said and she hugged me back.
"You're welcome." She said and pulled away.
I left her office and went back to the living room where everybody was, except Rigel.
"Hey Caden, can I talk to you?" I asked him after approaching him.
"Sure.." He said not looking at me.
"Look, I know you're probably really upset with Rigel right now, but you're a very smart kid. You probably don't know this, but the process of adoption requires a lot of work and time." I said and sat on the couch with him. "It's not that Rigel doesn't want to adopt you, she loves you and you know that. It's just that right now she doesn't have the conditions to adopt a child, but she will, someday." I said and he looked at me.
"Probably when that day comes, someone already adopted me." He said with a sad face.
"I wouldn't be so sure." I said smirking.
"Why?" He asked me with a question look.
"Because, I may have talked to Sasha and she made an exception." I said and he gave me another question look. "What I'm saying is, I may have 'booked' two kids to adopt. But I have a limit of five years." I said and he smiled.
"You booked me?" He asked excited and I nodded my head. "Wait, you said you booked two kids. Who's the other one?" He asked.
"Your brother." I answered and he got even more excited.
"You booked Jayden and I?" He asked and I nodded my head again. He immediately stood up and hugged me and or course, I hugged him back. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He said before pulling away.
"You're welcome. But hey, you can't tell Rigel about this." I said and he nodded his head.
"I won't I promise." He promised and I thanked him.

Rigel's POV:
I don't know what Darius did, but Caden is talking to me again, which is amazing. The presentation of our assignment was today, and it couldn't have gone better. Mr. Fitzgerald loved our presentation, we had a full mark. Our presentation was the best in the whole class.
Darius and I were now driving back home.
"I can't believe our presentation was the best!" Darius admitted.
"Me neither. I mean, I knew it was good, but I didn't know it was that good!" I agreed.
"Do you want to have lunch with me?" Darius asked, but it was so quickly that I asked him:
"What?"
"Would you like to have lunch with me?" He asked slower this time. "And my parents?" He completed and I widened my eyes.
"Sure. I haven't seen them in a long time." I said nodding my head.
We spent the whole ride in silence, but it seemed to connect us in a way that words never could. (quote from 'Flipped')
When we arrived at his house, we walked in and I greeted his parents.
"You arrived just in time for lunch." Louise said before sitting in her chair. "Have a seat." She said and we obeyed.
"How's everything with your dad?" George asked me while Louise served our dishes.
"He's fine. He's very happy. I think Natalie managed to bring the old Harold back!" I said with a smile and he nodded his head.
"I'm glad to hear that!" He said and I smiled at him.
"Who's Natalie?" Darius asked me before taking a bite of his beef.
"Oh, she's my dad's new girlfriend." I answered him taking a bite of my beef too.
"Your dad has a girlfriend?" He asked and I nodded my head. "Wow, that's awesome!" He said and I gave him a small smile.
"So, Rigel?" Louise called for me and I turned my attention to her. "Are you going to your father's formal party tomorrow?" She asked and I gave her a confused look.
"What formal party?" I asked her and Darius put his hand on my shoulder to make me turn to him.
"Your father's company is having a formal party tomorrow and he wants us to go." He said and I turned my attention to Louise.
"Oh, of course I'll go!" I said nodding my head.
"Would you come with me?" Darius whispered at me.
